American Gypsies in NatGeo was very entertaining, and they did really well with their psychic shops.

Some of the women were good-looking as well.

I remember the last episode, the cool guy, Val, spends the night with a gypsy girl and has to marry her. She was probably 9.5/10.

There are some interesting stories from the Canadian angle as well as I believe 1,000s from Hungary tried to get into Canada as refugees in the past few years and it looks like the difficult process made them turn towards Britain where they don't need to claim refugee status.

I don't want to romanticize anything. Truth is, they have a lot of problems in that culture.

But there is something to be said for not being tethered and not living by normal societies rules that resonates with me (and probably any guy who gets into the game).

I'm starting to see a rise in the hate on the gypsy and Muslim immigrants in Europe. I wonder how this will look in the next decade or 2 as the numbers grow larger and the people more powerful while the economies get worse/stagnate. They are parasites everywhere they go. In my country they are (completely healthy looking) beggars who whine about how they aren't "taken care of" (by taxpayers). Of course, liberals organized and pressed the authorities to give them homes (one of those portable makeshift houses). It's very easy to romanticise travellers, whether Roma or Irish or whatever, the freedom of their life on the road seems great.

But they live outside society and culture, can run away from the consequences of their actions, and do so regularly.

I'd say this forum is strongly for international womanising, but would have no respect for a guy who travelled the world knocking up a broad in every country then bouncing.

Go and visit a traveller camp if you want to see how great their lifestyle is. Even excluding women I'd rather live in the poorest Brazilian favela than with travellers in the UK.

I get what you're saying and maybe you ran into a few good ones. But there is a difference between 'being a materialistic worker bee' and becoming a dirty leech on society. I live here in Spain and we have good and bad ones - among all Gypsies the gitanos are most likely the most integrated in any society. However every Spaniard you meet here will tell you to stay away from them - they are bad news and they basically lie when they breathe. I have a few friends who are cops here and when I asked them which groups cause the most trouble they immediately pointed toward the Romas - they hate them and prefer to duke it out with the North Africans. By the way, unlike other nations the Spanish do understand the difference between regular Romanians and gypsies from Romania. One of my gym buddies is from Romania and he's clearly not a gypsy - pretty white looking.

There is also a difference between the gypsies from Romania and the ones who grew up here. The latter have a deep culture and as I said managed to find widespread acceptance (to some extend) in Spanish culture. The former are the scum of the earth and rigorous measures should be taken to encourage them to abandon their pilfering lifestyle. Unfortunately the pertinent laws are pretty lax over here and there will be a long term price to pay.

FWIW - I've run into some Romanian girls and they are among the hottest pieces of ass I have come across. Again, not gypsy bitches - regular Romanian women.

Also, there is also a problem of them drugging their babies and giving them vodka (0.1l or 3.4oz is like $1.5 here and is enough to shitface an infant), also there have been cases of found dead babies on junkyards with the autopsies revealing they died from alcohol overdose. The elementary school in my country is almost free, you just have to pay for some books, like $20-30 annually. The national ministry of education had a proposal to pay for Roma kids' schooling, books and meals during all eight years of elementary school in order to make it a requirement for all children in country, poor or not. Their pissed off mothers came the day after the proposal went public to protest in large groups because their kids going to school means their kids not earning ~$20 per day from being beggars. The protests almost escalated into violent riots, but the police and the parliament acted on time and cancelled the proposal. The media tried to point this out but the human rights association of Bosnia threatened with charges for repressing the foreign culture and promoting hatred or something like that.

Roma gypsies also had a trend few years ago of throwing flaming paper on people for fun in order to fuck up their clothes. They tried this with an old lady in January of 2008 right after asking her for money. The grandma had a wool coat so it caught flame easily, burning her to death (use google to translate). The media of course called them "juvenile deviants" or something, not specifying their race.

in the past, the EU was condemning us Romanians saying that we are discriminating gypsies. now they had the chance to see for themselves what "great" people the gypsies are. but they're not learning, the EU is giving us the political correctness bullshit and has imposed a fine in Romania of up to 7000 euro if we call a gypsy what we always called a gypsy which is "tigan". we're now supposed to call them "rrom" as in like what the gypsies want to be called but hey even the Romanian newspapers still call them "tigan".
we don't hate gypsies for their skin color, we hate gypsies for their extremely annoying behavior and total disregard for civilization. there's a rare exception, a Romanian gypsy that's a singer (former rapper) that goes by the stage name Connect-R and that behaves like a civilized intelligent person. he sings european style dance music and his facebook page has 1 million likes, mostly by Romanians, proof that we don't hate gypsies for their race but for the horrible behavior. but almost all the other gypsies - are dirty, they throw the garbage around themselves, they shout in their nomad language, steal, gather up into gangs (of organized crime sometimes), pretend to be witches, pretend to be fortune tellers, make their children beg, they sing some horrible oriental music, they wear their parrot colored clothes and they build themselves oriental style houses. Marshal Antonescu deported all the Romanian gypsies to Transnistria in WW2 but unfortunately they came back after the war and they will always cause trouble everywhere they go, they are never going to integrate into a civilized society. because of the name confusion, us Romanians are being wrongfully seen as wrongdoers particularly in Italy when in fact the gypsies are generally to blame. I hope that over time the world will understand that Romanians and Romani have nothing to do with each other. and they should stop calling them Romani and call them gypsy.

In Hungary they hate them so much that if it wasn't for the European history and the world having eyes in every corner, they would have all been killed by now. I'll say, if the world goes to the gutter quickly, the first ones to get gutted are going to be the Gypsies in central-eastern Europe, specially here by the Magyar Garda.

For example, a friend of mine has a knife given to him by his grandfather. He engraved the handle with a gypsie's tooth he snatched from one he beat up and wrote on it "Ciganygyilkos" (Gypsy killer). The other side doesn't help it either, stealing anything that is not bolted down to sell for scrap, such as public statues, trashcans, locks and such.

@Volk - yeap, the whole world knows gypsies everywhere are generally a pain in the ass (with very few exceptions) yet nothing is done about it, on the contrary, the political correctness is only getting worse and for them to live off welfare in a Western country means that they will never again feel like making the slightest effort to do something useful for society. they will just spend tax payers' money and annoy people continuously.
