Another thing to consider:

Has the forum evolved from more hipster to more douchebag over time?

When it first started it most mostly backpackers and hostal dwellers.

Roosh might have even been called a hipster in those days because of his hair etc.

Now we are a bunch of Muscle Heads, Protein Shake drinkers, Triangle Choke Holders and V-neck wearers.

(Try to find a thread on Squating till you puke before a year or two ago?)

Even Roosh is a big advocate of lifting heavy and often, Custom Suits and staying in flashy apartments in the city center.

I have no proof, but after he sold a million books and counting (do the math $9 x 1,000,000), I suspect he is loading up on multiple tables with Champagne and Caviar in The Ukraine.

Are we all becoming more douchebag?

Is that the trend?

Is there any stopping it?

Are we going to all start bringing back Ed Hardy?

Can black guys be douchebags? I've never heard a girl call a black guy a diuche bag. I've heard girls call black guys assholes. I have heard the term blipster to describe black hipsters.

lol this thread is worthless. Didnt this form used to embrace noncomformist ways at one point? After all swallowing the red pill is pretty darned unconventional in the first place. Roosh would still be classed hipster for his minimalist approach to life and noncomformist ways. Im a hippy, straight up minimalist, even have the long hair which chicks dig, and was once but no longer diehard about organic foods (due to the ability to wash pesticides off of your produce ie "Fit Fruit & Vegetable Wash.") But I wear the vnecks and take supplements and hit the gym like my life depends on it as well. Used to do MMA, jiu jitsu and wrestling.

Rejecting the status quo to improve my life and then sharing that with others so they too can improve their lives is neither hipster or douchebag. We need to embrace it.

Game tip 1: A little self-depricating humor (especially when you're high enough up there that it doesn't' come off as needy or approval seeking) goes a lot way.

Game tip 2: Being able to "get" jokes helps, too. Generally speaking, don't take everything so literally. Look for subtext. Read some fiction; that will help.

I'm a hipster, and I think WestCoast's litmus test is solid - you will know them by the company they keep. Hipsters definitely work out, drink protein shakes, and take martial arts classes nowadays, though. I think I even saw a video here at one point about boxing gyms in NY being overrun by hipsters.
