Specifically talking about Little Buenos Aires that goes from 65th street to 96th street. I'd say modest/borderline expensive. I have not personally rented an apt. in Miami in over 5 years as I own a few condos along Miami Beach, but, the recent condo bust has lots of condo owners begging for renters just to keep up with their mortgage.

My best guess is that beach rentals can be found for about 1500/mo with all utilities and expenses for a decent condo if not directly on the beach, walking distance to it. This would be a single 1 br about 1000sf no more than 2 blocks from the beach.

Stick to the areas between 60th all the way up to Sunny Isles Beach for much better (and bigger apts) for rent with ocean views.

Is that a good area to live Mixx?? I stayed on 60th (give or take 5 streets) once for a week and had to drive everywhere, there wasnt a whole heck of a lot w/in walking distance like in SoBe

You pretty much have to drive no matter where you live in Florida. If you are looking to specifically live in a party area, then SoBe is it, but you will get bored quickly...I promise you that.


Little Bs. As has great restaurants, but they begin on 71st & Collins, and go down the causeways for about 8 blocks.

I live in little right on the beach of little Bs. AS myself...LOVE IT! The best part about it, no tourists, and the few tourists that are here...are all DTF easily as they love meeting locals.

Why do you think south beach gets boring? I have heard others say this and I have never spent more than 3 months there at any given clip (usually 1 week to 1 month.)

You have girls, the beach, nightclubs and one of my favorite boxing gyms. And arguably one of the best (if not the best with Spirit Air and Miami Airport and FLL) "jump off points" to attack South America.

Is it just the brutal summer?

Would like to know your take/insight.

@gmanifesto.

It all sounds great, the way you put it - women, party atmosphere, nightlife etc. But it just gets tiring if you actually live there. It loses it's novelty, and it slowly becomes something that you've done a gizzillion times, and loses its luster.

i.e I love Colombia, but I could never see myself living there for 6 consecutive months without fucking going crazy, and getting bored.

I stayed in SoBe for a month during Jan/Feb one year w/o a car and loved the fact that i never needed to drive anywhere. if i were to do that again i would try and get a car just to check out some of the other parts of the city (ie Brickell) but the fact that i could experience the city feel and the beach feel and have everything all w/in 10 blocks was awesome. I never got bored of SoBe and I hardly left SoBe. i can see how SoBe would get old after a year or two though w/all the touristy shit but it has a European city vibe you cant get many places in this country. i had a friend live in Sobe and he lasted 2 years before he started to get sick of it.

When i was staying in the 60th st area i as bored out of my mind. minimal pedestrian traffic, empty beaches, etc.

Not a problem if you have a bitchin' whip or motorcycle to get you around. Usually guys that complain about living in North Beach are guys who are 1 or 2 things:

1. Young. Under 35 years of age.
2. Do not have a car, and have to rely on public transportation.

If you fall on any of the 2 above, yeah, I agree, NoBe is not for you.

Guys are still looking at SoBe as tourists. 2 years is nothing. Try 10 years, and tell me you like living there, as I can say about NoBe.

Guys who are 30+ years old, stil standing in line at South Beach nightclubs to be proved worthy to enter by a GED douche, need a smack upside the head.

I personally like the place I sleep/fuck toned down. SoBe is only a 15 minute ride away if I want to sarge unsuspecting tourists from Canada and Iceland.

I hear you Mixx. I like to be typically a 15 min walk away from the action. More low-pro that way.

Plus, where you are at is a pretty cheap cab ride.

What are your thoughts on living South of Fifth?

Its super chill, even closer to action, real close to my favorite gym and just a $20 cab to Brickell?

thats the thing, South of Fifth is a 15 minute walk to the action. North Beach is a 15 minute drive/park. If you like to be able to leave your house and walk SoFi is a great spot. If you dont mind driving North Beach sounds like it works well. SoFi isnt cheap though, and alot of the housing in the SoFi area isnt directly on the beach, although its not a far walk.

DAMN i wish I would have signed up to this fourm and met you guys earlier! I thought it was just me. I recently moved from Boston to Miami and man the females have treated me rough! I've only fucked 1 girl (without tricking) and my confidence has been in the pits ever since. Manifesto when I come back from Colombia I will take your advice for when I go down South Beach.

If there are any playas that live in the Miami area (I live sunny isles a nice spot to pick up upper class women) holla @ me. We have to network and chop it up

Question for the Miami Super G's about Brickell:

Assuming that you don't want to have a car, how is Brickell to live for a extended stay?

The nightlife there is of course dope, but how is the daylife?

Are there lots of good independent restaurants, markets for killer grocery grinds, parks, boxing gyms etc?

South Beach is obviously great for "daylife", but the nightlife in Brickell is dope.

The obvious solution is to live in South Beach and roll to Brickell at night.

The problem with that is that the logistics aren't great. If you live in Brickell you can take one closing step out of the equation.

As we know, over time that get result in 100's of extra swoops.

Thoughts?

I need to know the upside of Brickell living.

Brickell is an area full of corporate offices. So, nightlife and day-game are really great, but only during weekdays. No way around not having a car if you stay in Brickell, but you can get way with not having a car if you stay in Sobe.

If you don't have a ride, and stay in Brickell...weekends are gonna suck major ass! It's empty. NO happy hours, no office girls ghoing out for a lunch break.

however, you'll kill it during weekdays for happy hours. Brickell is happy hour paradise!

I have rolled there on Friday and Saturday nights and it is dope as hell. It goes off at night.

But I am talking dinner and late night. Have you been out there late night on Fri and Sat?

I have never rolled to happy hours there. (or for that matter not to many other places as well).

Side note:

I think that it is real interesting you do the happy hour thing. Totally different Game Style from me.

I would try it in Brickell though on the strength of your suggestion.

Back to my earlier question, I was more concerned about how "livable" it is during the day. Is it just mad boring? It does seem just like a non-descript downtown area.

And if it is possible to get all the things you need done with out a car ie dry clean, grocery shop, clothes shopping, Boxing etc
