Now as for my own experiences and perspective:

But, ever the realist, I would urge caution: don't do this unless you are willing for the girl to become psychologically dependent upon you. If you think you can just 'own her soul' one night and toss her to the kerb the next, 1. you're a bastard and 2. you're kidding yourself. (Not saying anyone here wants to do that.) I'm all for it. I'm a Dom myself, came into it about 4 years ago. It's a much different thing than just busting a nut. It's quite a bit more effort and work. I do it because I enjoy it immensely. Good question. I guess you'd have to ask the girl about how the two feel different to her, but I'd guess the ropes and gags entail more ceremony, anticipation, sustained helplessness, and a few other factors.

You can dominate a girl in the traditional sense. But girls are stupid, the fact that this is something they've read or heard about makes it seem more dominating.
