my town has an over abundance of "the next man I fuck will be my husband" type chicks and seems very social circle oriented.

how would you guys work to get the upper hand in this situation? my big city tactics are failing out here.

right now all I've got is to start planning a siege on all the yoga classes and churches in the area. Go to those, not to pick up, but to infiltrate a few social circles of active/quality women and then poach their friends off as I see fit.

I have gone two weeks without approaching a new girl. Two weeks.

I have been keeping a daily journal for over a year now. I have been using it more consistently for a few months. One of the things I do is write affirmations down everyday. I have been finding that as I write these affirmations down they become a reality over time. It's like magic. So what I am going to do now is write down, "Approach. Close." in the journal everyday, possibly multiple times a day. It's like subliminal messaging. I want approaching to become something that is like second nature for me. See hot girl, make eye contact, begin walking.

Other than that, just going to have to throw myself back into the meat grinder. Definitely going to take a break from the forum as I do this.

On another note, I see this one really hot girl on the rail once a week.

I approached her initially over a month ago. A couple weeks ago she sat down next to me and we had a nice conversation.

Pussed out on asking her to get coffee/go on a date with me.

Saw her this morning, talked to her for a couple minutes. She stuttered a little bit, before immediately asking me a question. Got the logistics. She has class at 8, but is free at 12. Pussed out on asking her on a date again.

I have been meeting girls like this the whole summer. The solution I have come to, lie. Lie like no tomorrow. Pretend you are truly interested in the girl. Feed her fantasy of having a boyfriend, and finding true love.

I have not totally figured out this plan. I know alcohol is included in it somewhere.

+1000 this is so true. I used to get so complacent when I had a gf, would be the good beta white knight and seek to please them, didn't hit on other women (passed up more than a few good chances), etc. Ughhhh...

Had a big beach event in my town recently and I was standing out in front of my place with my tall buddy and his awesome dog. Group of like 5 girls start cooing over the dog and talking to us. Later on when I was playing volleyball I got a text from her trying to meet up, but I didn't see it until almost an hour had passed so when I hit her back she said they'd already left to go home. Still might be a slight chance here, but I think I needed to strike while the iron was hot.

Still a fun time and I don't think I've ever hit on a girl that short and that young before. My tall good looking friend wouldn't really approach despite the hot girls all around (I approached a couple and got turned down, but still had the 18 year old wanting to meet up). Then we went to hang out with my FWB and her friend, banged that out later and called it a night. Not my best game at all, but I was glad to approach more than my friend and make something of my prior mistake.

I am working on it. For me, approaching is like a train. I get started, build up, then I am approaching at least 1 new girl a day everyday. Then I stop, and it's hard for me to get started again.

This is why I am doing the, "Approach. Close." mantra in my daily journal now. I am going to writing that down every day multiple times a day. I will still take action regardless, but I know just by doing affirmations that the mantra will eventually hit my subconscious and I will start approaching more like it's second nature.

Also, I will admit that girl I went out with was a distraction in more ways than one.

Like you, I have been doing solely day game.

I have made some approaches that few men will ever do, but for me it's still a struggle. I can very easily get locked into my head. Not necessarily true in my experience in NYC, girls sometimes open you because they are bored and they like fucking around with people, or just want to talk about sports/reality TV/current events while waiting on their friends.
