An extreme example maybe, but this photo simply reflects the dating market in the West. The supply of attractive women is very low and the dating value of overweight women is high. Times are indeed terrible for western men and I see no change any time soon.

Sadly this is not much of an outliner these days. I occasionally see decent looking guys walking holding hands with land whales or extremely ugly girls. I can only assume these guys have told themselves they cant do any better and that this is the only way to get somewhat regular pussy.

Don't understand why everyone is calling him a closet gay or something. He probably suffers from self confidence issues or low self esteem. I have a friend that constantly goes for "overweight" women, but that's because he's afraid of the rejection and wants a sure thing.

Lack of confidence doesn't explain going after obese chicks. There are a lot of mediocre girls in the 4-6 range this guy could get that aren't obese, but maybe just homely, or even chubby.

The thing you got to remember about guys like this is that they'll inevitably have dated less obese and less hideous girls before. Without a doubt, this chap has banged one or two girls who look better than this before.

So why would he end up with a mastodon like this Eskimo-looking chick? Because he's gotten his heart and ego stomped upon by previous chicks. Dudes like this get cheated on and get the "we have to talk" spiel from girls, and when it comes time for the girl to dump them, they invariably cry like babies. So, eventually, after having had enough, a guy will settle down. This is simply an extreme case of settling, in my opinion. Reminds me of this annoying, thin white guy I know. Not a bad looking guy and would look a lot better if he changed his wardrobe and did something with his hair. His status on Facebook changed to In A Relationship the other day and the bitch has to be at least 190 pounds.

Same story with this other black guy I know except his little short, fat butterball has a kid from another guy. I was with a girl like that once (ok not like that, but still fat), however with two large (pun intended) exceptions:
a) she lost weight and our staying together was conditional upon her losing the weight
b) she would have never dared to flaunt it as some kind of fat-acceptance parole. She understood that she was living on borrowed time and did everything else possible to compensate for it.

If the girl were white or was less ugly but was just as obese, this pair wouldn't be much different than any number of such couples I see on a weekly basis.
