I can't believe that you guys are taking this seriously. This is a troll post (the Yahoo article, not this post). I finally read the article and most of it is her talking about her aspiring comedy career and her YouTube channel. She's trying to drive traffic to her videos and launch some sort of internet/reality career. That's it. He's either in on the scam or closeted and being with fat chicks allow him to rationalize his lack of sexual attraction to women.

I know a girl who is about that size who shacked up with some guy that was good-looking and in really good shape. A hard-working guy that owns his own successful contracting company.

Not only shacked up with her but up and married her, and now they're having a kid. Claims he's head over heels in love.

The girl is a childhood friend of mine who has been obese as long as I can remember, so I can't say I'm not happy for her to have found someone, but I still shake my head in private.

I will say that while the guy seems very normal on the surface, almost too normal, he's a bit awkward in one-on-one conversations. She's walked away and left us to ourselves a couple times, and with her gone, it wasn't long before I wanted to bite off the mouth of my beer bottle and stab myself in the eye with it just to get out of the conversation.

I get the sense that the guy in this pic is somewhat like that. A tad awkward in the social skills department, you might say.

To the woman's benefit, on the other hand, these guys probably make decent partners. Like my friend, for instance - guy treats her like she's the greatest thing that ever walked the Earth and seems very genuine in his feelings. It works with her because she's never been loved; if he tried that approach with a hot chick, they would have been done a long time ago though.

We had Lon convos on fitness and lifestyle and yet he was shacking it up with a whale, it made no sense. She wasn't as big as the walrus in the OPs post but she had heft and size... Gross.

Another fat bitch in the same bar tried to ht on me and opened me by talking about how good the chips were. I trolled her saying I just came from the gym and couldn't eat for 3hrs to ensure the most fat loss. She had the audacity to call me "weird" as she shoveled her trap full of chips.

Yep. That's why even though I workout religiously I have qualms about the trend of guys obsessing over whether or not they're as ripped as GQ cover models.

This is another instance where what's positive for the individual is negative for society. The "do you even lift" Vitaly videos would have been ludicrous back in the 70's and 80's because most men didn't workout. It was a positive development for men to take pride in their health, but it's getting out of hand and is absurdly incongruous alongside the rise of female obesity.

It's not just that she's overweight. It's that she's not attractive to begin with and overweight on top of that. I see middle-aged women all the time who have put on weight after having kids, but you can see that before the kids they were hot. This woman doesn't even have that going for her.

So what's up with the guy? As I said over at Roissy's, I have a gay friend who is always going on about all the "closet cases" he knows who are with fat chicks as a cover. His theory is that the bulky bodies of fat women remind the guys of men, so they're able to pretend. Also, this guy's smile and hairstyle have set off my "gaydar" to alarming levels and I'm not even gay.

I think this trend is not just in America, it is happening the world over.

I live in Australia, and the number of times I have seen tall buff guys or just tall good looking guys with fatties way too common.

I'd say the trend is the worst in India though.
