I've only seen it first hand. A girl I was dating was packing on some pounds, and she asked me if she was getting fat and I told her she was. She then got scared (I already had cheated her once... and she knew ) and started to starve herself. Within the remaining time of the relationship (one month) she lost about 5 pounds.

I think "being on camera" & moving up the chain of broadcast journalism should be enough motivation to shed pounds. With her face, she has the potential to be Keri Russell-esque.
