Oddly enough, the LAPD has pretty much shot up as many random innocents in the circus of a manhunt as Dorner has already. This isn't helping them convince the public that he is the trigger happy loony.

Hume are you purposely being obtuse? The point is that the guy was going to snap no matter what happened. It isn't about common sense, it's about what's right and wrong. What has he won exactly?? He's either going to die or be in prison the rest of his life. He hasn't win shit. He has a bunch of supporters? Great. Fantastic. Looking at this situation for what it is I am not surprised. Corrupt systems breed these type of dissidents from time to time. Corrupt systems are ussually weakened eternally and this man has signed a suicide note to bring home a heavy point.

It's a shame normal people are caught up in this thus far but nobody talks about the thousands of lives the LAPD has ruined by the own forces negligence.

He knows the gameplan. This has been planned meticulously and methodically. I wouldn't expect to hear from him for quite awhile. I also wonder if he is acting alone or if there is someone laying out dead ends and distractions.

The fear that he has already instilled, with previous actions to back up that fear will cripple the LAPD, specifically those he is out to get.

The act of not knowing is worse than the conclusion oftentimes. If you were coming for me, come and get me. I would not want to live my life not knowing when or if you were coming for me.

I'm with Fisto, this guy is absolutely nuts. I read his entire manifesto and if he had a sense of honor he would only kill those who directly wronged him. Instead, he directly threatens wives, daughters, and every LAPD cop.

This guy looks to me like a scorned beta. He played football in college and joined the Navy, so he had a strong sense of justice and honor and doing the right thing and sacrificing. So the reality of vapid, narcissistic, and nihilistic American culture was a shock to him. He was shocked that the most corrupt police force, the LAPD, was corrupt, racist, incompetent, filled with lesbians, etc. That is the definition of naivete. He reported corruption and appealed his wrongful termination to the highest level and was shocked that the LAPD was only looking out for number 1. He couldn't hold down a relationship or find a wife - no doubt because he was a nice guy who thought if he just invested himself fully into the woman she would reward his "relational equity" to quote Rollo Tomasi.

Sadly, this guy would have fit in well in American culture 60 years ago, but the edifice of American society has cracked. More and more men need to take the red pill and there will be fewer angry Christopher Dorners running around.

This guy never took the red pill. If you read his manifesto he has praise for all the usual suspects - Obama, Chris Christie, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, George H.W. Bush, the military. He held the federal government up as some sort of paragon of honor and integrity. Surely if he had first-hand experience working in any of those organizations beyond his minor Naval career, he would have been similarly disillusioned.

Forget about OJ Simpson and Michael Jackson for a moment, I was watching CNN this morning and the LAPD said they will "Investigate the fugitives dismissal file for discrimination" or some bullshit like that...

Perhaps not.

There is a big powder-keg of disgust of the general American population towards the police it seems.

When the police end up shooting a lot of innocent people because they're scared of Dorner, it makes it hard for them to make Dorner look like the trigger happy loony.

When one man, can make the police shit itself and take officers off patrol and employ measures to protect itself, it makes people see how the police are not invincible.

It appears the elites or someone was trying to use the shootings chip away at the second amendment. Now I believe that is no longer possible for them, now that people are starting to consider the fact that they may need to defend themselves against the cops.

I watch this story with great interest in how it turns out.

The implementation of drones will cause me to be hesitant now. If he goes on a wild spree in a short amount of time I will have to start re-looking my view on things. If he continues to be collected in his approach then I still keep my stance that he is a acting in his own interests and not behind a broader agenda.

Take a step back for a second regardless of your view on the man and realize America civil law enforcement has been privy to access and use drones on American soil to seek out and and kill an American citizen. That is a game changer and has now set a president for drones to be used against anybody whom is viewed as a dissident/combatant against the status quo, its authorities and institutions.

That is indeed a dangerous precedent to be set. People are starting see new shades of the police department. Most people associate drone use with terminating terrorists. Now a drone is being used to hunt down and kill an American citizen. To my knowledge, there are little to no justifications used by the LAPD for this action.

That does not sit well with me.

If Dorner just hides out for the time the police will make themselves look worse and worse as they up the ante in a frenzy to catch him and preserve their credibility and justify their apparently exorbitant pay checks.

Exactly. The system is fucked up. And it won't be getting any better. Sometimes desperate times call desperate measures. I'm not supporting Dorner himself, but the idea. If ONE innocent person was killed by LAPD and it was covered up, they have this one coming.

All the standing by and watching it happen is putting us right smack into fucking socialism.

Civil war, no. I am nearly certain that if law enforcement kills an innocent person there will be rioting in CA. They have already accidentally shot two elderly Asian women who happened to be in a truck seemingly matching the description of Dorner's truck.

Despite the fact the woman appear to have survived, the way article describes it:

I believe that the "Asymmetric Warfare” Dorner subscribes to is the only type of war he can fight and not loose. He can’t field an army. He can’t win, but as a rebel/insurgent/(insert label of choice) he can very successfully not loose for longer than anyone is comfortable with. There is a huge disparity in resources that he must overcome to win and that won’t happen, its just a matter of time before he is dead. By then it may not even matter, he has already lit the fuse. When he dies, America will have a huge push among the poor, abused, and disenfranchised to label him a martyr.

I suggest reading Why Big Nations Lose Small Wars: The Politics of Asymmetric Conflict, By Andrew Mack. It’s only 25 pages long. I am willing to bet that Dorner has that entire paper committed to memory.

Let us not forget that all the skills, tactics, and methodologies he is fighting the government with now are things he perfected by doing it on behalf of the United States. He, and many others have waged this specific type of warfare on other countries, on our behalf. Let me be clear, The United States is no different from any other empire in that we have and will murder innocents, plunder, and burn to the ground anyone not big enough to stand against us.

I am not naïve, I understand that power is finite and that if it were not for the injustices we, as Americans serve other nations we would not enjoy the privileges we have. It’s just heartbreaking that a huge part of our decline is coming from within our walls and not from an outside force.
