RE: What's the matter with Toronto? Seriously...
Between graduating from the US in 2011 and moving to Toronto, I was an avid reader of this forum. As my luck turns out, I moved to Toronto in Spring. While integrating into the workforce, I became twisted when trying to swim. My strong support network didn't help when I pulled a Sheen with endless cocktail binges, escorts, parlors and trips to Niagara. I lived with an old friend and had tight logistics, sports car and swanky address.
I did some passes in downtown, day and night, pulled the OKC and POF game and went to college parties - the women may be good, American swag has competitive advantage, but the women's attitudes are ridiculous. I pipe-lined 6 girls online, picked up 3 masseuses, a stripper and 2 normal girls in 4 months there. Managed to get 2 back to my pad, faced heavy LMR and failed.
Despite gaming, there was something in the city that just didn't click for me. I've never abused so many substances in my life, I even started trying to synthesize my own to get away from the dreariness. It's like the soviet union with undesirable women. Never met so many passive aggressive individuals, or people who could be so hypocritical. Decided to take a sabbatical before moving out west to pursue greener pastures.

Another negative report on Toronto....shocking!!!
Good analysis.

Economics. Stability. Safety.
These things have nothing to do with culture.
On the one hand men on this board are complaining about the feminist culture giving rise to monster women. The feminazis are a purely western creation, one of which Canada is a part.
So, while the rest of us bemoaning the feminist anti male culture that is so rampant in the west, you are actually saying that immigrants should integrate MORE? NO! The opposite is what is needed. Women from traditional Chinese and Indian cultures realize that there are differences between men and women. They don't try to become men. They respect the role men have in society. They don't try to compete with men. If anything Canadians should be adopting their culture, not the other way around.
How can you possibly say that culture has nothing to do with economic practices, rule of law, etc.; if anything one could argue that they're directly related, i.e. boring stable cultures tend to be more economically succesful (Canada, Switzerland) while spontaneous and exciting ones tend to be economically troubled (Spain, Greece, Argentina).

I see your point but the argument goes both ways. How long was Canada a first world country for? When did they stop relying on exporting raw materials to the us and uk and when did they stop being considered hewers of wood and lumberjacks? In 1911, Argentina was among if not the richest in the world hence the saying as rich as an Argentine and Canada for the most part was still largely a 3rd world country.
The real problem with Toronto is girls are really just open to social circle gaming. Not in their social circle you will have to be mr. perfect to pick up a random chick and fuck her. You gotta say all the right things, and anything you say can be used against you like when a cop arrest you. Tell a girl she looks pretty today, "o what's that suppose to mean I look like shit every other day", whereas any other normal girl would take the compliment. You have to have endless lines of response to shit like this, and the answer generally involves purposely falling into these traps but with a smirk on your face ie" yes that is exactly what I am saying (and laugh)". You also have to not give a shit about any girl and avoid trying to get one-itis or showing too much interest in the girl, in fact it often helps to openly show your interested in other girls around her. (the jealousy card is one of the few a man can play in Toronto) because their egos are so huge it behoves them that a man could be attracted to another female beside them ie cutting their ego down to size. And I find that to be the best way of dealing with these kind of chicks, routinely cut down their ego til they realize they ain't shit.
People outside of Toronto don't understand that men are all assumed to be rapist, criminals, child abductors whatever by the general population until they can prove otherwise. Don't believe me, go and talk to a random kid on the street about any random subject, see how fast he/she runs away. If it was a woman, kid would gladly and openly engage in endless conversation. And it is the default of women her to walk around with a bitch face and be in bitch mode, so much so that if a woman is smiling at you it can catch you off guard and you might even think to yourself, what the fuck are you starring at. And then there is the fact that you have only 2-3 seconds on which to pick up on this subtle eye contact even if it is a room full of people which they will not re-engage if you miss. There are only a handful of girls maybe a few in 100 who will hold the eye contact. and I often wonder if any of these girls the 95% are fucking people out of their social circle

(09-15-2012 07:27 PM)Qwest Wrote: Fellas I was just in Toronto for 4 days last weekend for TIFF and had a blast. Stayed at my boys condo in the Thompson Hotel and did pretty well there. The lobby bar had tons of girls every night I was there and we took advantage. All in all, in 4 nights I got two bangs and left a bunch of chicks hanging who also wanted it. A Polish/Canadian girl and a Pakistani/Canadian bartender. Had an Italian girl come up to the condo in the middle of the day who I met the night before, and made out with her before she had to go meet her friends. I could have banged that night I suspect, but I went back for 2nds on the Polish one instead.
Pulled a ton of numbers the first night alone in the lobby bar on a Thursday night who I messaged back and forth all weekend but just didn't have time to see them all between the partying and everything.
Some hazy memories on some venues but here's what I remember:
The Hoxton had tons of girls (especially when Skrillex performed) but it is definitely a little hipster.
Bloak & 4th- Went there twice and it sucked both times. Never going back there.
F stop- I think this was the name. Was pretty drunk there and don't remember a whole lot about it but do remember a lot of hot chicks there. Managed to pull a # only.
Overall, I had a blast in the city, but maybe that's only because it was TIFF. Good logistics was key, and staying at the Thompson was prime for that. I saw TONS of hot girls out and about during the day also. Not just TIFF related chicks, but girls from the city you could tell. All of this was around the Thompson hotel/ King St.
I'm definitely gonna go back and definitely didn't experience the bitch shields others have mentioned.
I think I get the reason why outsiders view Toronto as pussy paradise and people who live there don't. When I first came to Toronto I was surrounded by all other foriegners who were newcomers as well, and in that social circle it was like a pussy paradise, easy to pick up, decent looking women not much more one could ask for. But as the group slowly fell apart as people moved etc. I found myself interacting with regular torontonians more and more and realize this was an exception not the norm.
As a foreigner or vistor you are likely to meet friends of friends who will be fascinated by your outsider/newcomer status (who doesn't like the new guy right), you are likely to be staying in a hotel where people you interact with (taxi driver, hotel staff, other visitors) are going to be nicer to you than normal. You in turn are more likely to be more outgoing and friendly as a result. Which increases your chances of missing the subtle passive aggressive behavior of bitches here.
You will likely meet people who are pre-selected ie women who travel in the hotel or locals who are drunk looking to have a good time and meet an outsider guy in the hotel or a rich guy who lives in one.
As a "native" you will likely experience a bunch of rejections and failures and likely view things through that lens to an extent. and come to the conclusion that pursuing pussy here isn't worth it (which it ain't). Perhaps as a visitor from a place where girls readily hookup and show their titties to random camera man ie girls gone wild in us college dorms, Toronto doesn't seem that hard. Well I'd liken it to fighting a boxer who has tremendous punching power but bad endurance. If you've fought 20 other fights, you know to run away from the guys power, bait him into shots and dance away by the time he counters and by round 7 you'll be dancing circles while he can't hold up his hands. But to a guy who has just been knocked down in his last 3 fights by the same style of fighter, you are going to have trouble convincing him to win because his success is so rare.
How can all the people who live here be wrong? Are all the Toronto posters just pussy betas who got no game? I doubt it. I'd say roughly 2% of the chicks in this city are basically easy who actively go around pursuing men and will sleep with basically any guy who offers them dick provided he is good looking enough. And the rest of them are a headache.

I always thought it was me. I was only 50% right. Even after getting my shit together, it's still brutal every time I go back there. Especially after trawling through Eastern Europe - JESUS CHRIST.
I'd sooner die than ever live in T.O.
Good place to pump out some babies, but that's it. I hate it's guts.
Cool that there's some dudes from there on here... maybe see some of you next time I'm back. which is Hopefully NEVER!!!!!!!
