And its really hypocritical for her to get mad because some guy didn't look her way because she was fat, but yet rag on her friend saying that she won't enjoy her new thin self.

I don't have a problem with the big 'fro...if it's on an attractive woman. I'll grant her that homeboy was rude for not engaging her - it shouldn't have been a burden to him to be polite and chill with her the same way he was with the rest of her crew. If he wouldn't even look/talk to her because she was fat, he's an asshole. Just the same, she shouldn't be mad that he didn't find her as attractive as her girlfriends. Most men simply don't find fat attractive, and she can't force the world, or even just brothers in the ATL to suddenly get turned on by her fat. And then to reject guys that actually ARE attracted to fat girls, because she doesn't want to be fetishized? If he's accepting you as you are, isn't that what you want? What's the difference if you lose 90 more pounds, and other guys get turned on by your new physique? Basically she wants a man that isn't attracted to fat, but somehow gets past her weight and falls in love with the person inside? Is that it?

No person is obligated to acknowledge or be polite to another, especially at a club/bar/lounge where the main objective is to have fun and pick up chicks. If this were a work function at a park, a housewarming party, or something of that nature, I would be more likely to agree with you.

I think the issue here was that it wasn't a guy trying to holler at random girls. He was an acquaintance of one of the girls in the group, and it was more of a social situation among friends that took place at a bar/lounge. While there's obvious truth to the statement that no one is "obligated" to acknowledge someone, he went out of his way to be rude to someone that was part of their group. No one was asking him to fuck her, and it takes more effort to be rude, especially to someone that did nothing wrong to you. In this situation, he was out of line. You don't treat friends of friends that way unless they do something to warrant it. It wouldn't have killed him to do the cursory introduction and make a couple of words of small talk.

I don't see any indication that she's a bitch - she's just fat. Dude went out of his way to ignore her, and at her girl's prompting, she tried to engage him and he wouldn't even look directly at her. That's just wrong in that particular setting. I ignore random fatties, but if a fatty is a friend of a friend, I'll treat her with respect.
