Matched betting
So i have recently come across something called matched betting. Essentially its a form of betting where you play the book keepers against each other via free bets. By using these free bets, you win and lose every time. The catch is that the software calculates the odds and maximizes your profit while keeping the losses to a minimal. I would post links to the guides i have read but i'm not too sure whether it's allowed since some of them are affiliate links.

I was wondering whether any members have tried this and succeeded before i bet and lose money that could have been used elsewhere! (If you have any other methods of making money, I am all ears!)

The game is long dead. It's only really worth doing in Australia these days.

Matched betting is a form of arbitrage. Like all arb, once enough people find out about it, the opportunity disappears. TINSTAAFL.

Books were getting slaughtered by thousands of arbers so they got rid of all the offers apart from terrible £20 sign ups for the most part.

RE: Matched betting
Not only that the rollover requirements plus vig kills most offers.
Look at bookmaker. Has what a 10-25% refill bonus. (Don't quote the exact amount) So on $400 you get $100. But you need to bet at least 3x or 4 x the refill. So $1200 in bets before you get the bonus. Depending on the requirements.

Now. If you think you can break even and beat the vig, then by all means you can go for the free plays or cash bonus.

I like to bet in play as you know the flow of the game better. It's a challenge but it's fun nonerheless.

Anybody on here have success middling or arbing basketball or NFL/college football

RE: Matched betting
Has anyone had success (or simply experience) doing this recently? Many sportsbooks do, in fact, provide decent signup bonuses, and I know at least one of these books pays out. For example, I got a nice bonus with intertops, and they did in fact pay me out a profit.

Had great success with this in Australia. Made around $25k AUD before the bookies caught on and promo banned me. Possible to do it for other people once you get banned but that definitely makes it riskier.

RE: Matched betting
Lots of matched betting content on the internet, Youtube, Google, blogs. Especially in the UK. It's quite big here in the UK.

I believe you need a lay and back bet from a betting exchange. So in a way, you don't lose money. And then you win the free bet.

You get emailed offers and that's what keeps it going. So if you keep betting, they may give you free £20 and more promotions. But it's hard not to be gubbed.

You can also achieve this by completing many sign up bonuses.

There's people who do not work who easily earn £100 pw and there's serious ones who earn £2k per month. It's common.

RE: Matched betting
I still keep getting deposit match offers in my email i.e deposit 200, they give you 200 in bonus bet.

Trick is to win something with bonus bet then hedge winnings with other bookie or exchange(opposite bet), that way you you are guaranteed profit.
Almost always bookies never give you bonus stake in case you win, only winnings,, for example you bet 200 bonus bet on event that has odds 2, you win only 200, not 400

I haven't really tried it to be honest.

I've have looked seriously into it from forums, blogs, Youtube videos to get the general theme of how it works, how they win money etc.

Never had any issues cashing out on the Aussie sites. That said, I usually bet big underdogs to try and get the money onto my Betfair exchange account.

Which sites in particular have you cashed out of?

Sportsbet, Ladbrokes, Neds, Bet365, Beteasy, William Hill, Mad Bookie, Blue Bet, Unibet, Classic Bet, Pointsbet, Bookmaker, Betstar, Palmerbet, Tab and of course Betfair.

Not sure which of these would offer bonuses to foreign residents however.

RE: Matched betting
Bookmaker.eu offers generous crypto bonuses that convert to cash once deposited.

Betonline.ag also offers reload bonuses.

Now are they friendly to matched betting? Be prepared to be limited if they think you are an advantage player. That goes with any bookie and casino. Exceptions of course with the pinnacles and betfair books etc.

If you are a recreational gambler, have no worries.

I have noticed Aussie bookies are most generous

Most important question is how do you keep getting bonus offers once you clean up all signup offers?

I believe you start doing it for other people. Bookies gub/ban you pretty quickly, at least in the UK.

They pick out people taking value.

Serious money is in casino bonuses, but the UK is going to shit due to government taxing bonuses and casinos upping wagering requirements.

Yes, book makers will always ban winning player but its easy fix, you never withdraw from a bookie, always hedge it on betfair.

Would it be possible to strike a deal with a bookie so they give you a $500 bonus a week and you make sure they profit by you going to lay all winning bets till your money is on betfair
Basically, loser would be some anonymous dude on an exchange

Anyone tried that?

Sounds good in theory but you can easily rack up over 5 figures in your bookie account if a few underdogs get up. Your best bet is to just repeat the matched betting process for friends/family, although that can also be risky in terms of transferring money, liability, etc.

They don't like people taking value.Even if you lose the first 10 bets, they'll still flag your account as being a 'sharp' punter. They make money in the long term from the overround on their odds (the odds they offer you aren't the true odds of the event happening most of the time).

http://www.bettingmarket.com/overround.htm

It's the same way the casino has a 2% or more edge built in to their table games. It doesn't matter if you beat them a few nights on the trot (assuming you're not doing something like card counting), they know they'll get it all back in the long run due to the built in edge.
