RE: Venezuela is collapsing
I'm surprised this has taken so long. Venezuela has been teetering on the edge for years!

Talk about synchronicity. Today, I had lunch with a few friends, one of whom is a respected economist in Venezuela (Ph.D. type) and he is expecting over 700% inflation in 2016 or about 2% per day. He mentioned that some of his banking colleagues consider that 900-1000% as a possibility depending on what transpires with the government bond payments in October 2016. Right now they are working on a gold-swap agreement with Deutsche Bank; which is an interesting economic story in itself. Another of the group mentioned that Venezuela flew in thirty six, 747 cargo airplanes this week loaded with 100 BsF notes.

The people that voted for Trump want this type of bullshit to end. We want to spend money to build up our own country and people.

I'd be more than happy to get some popcorn and watch Canada step up and do it. Have at it. Do some good, man.

A regime change or any type of war will not help Trump. If anything, it will hurt him. You don't seem to understand why people voted for Trump to begin with.

Libya is now, after our intervention, such a failed state that they're buying and selling slaves in open-air markets. Look at those pictures, they're the result of the last time someone said "Regime change is a good idea." That's where the vitriol comes from, the very real suffering that was caused by this failed idea.

Quote:But to respond to your question, maybe because those were all Muslim countries? With crazy people I don't care about? That could only be ruled by dictators and have poor genes?

So THAT group of brown people is too stupid to enjoy the benefits of regime change, but THIS group of brown people will love it.

You think we will, in fact, be "greeted as liberators"?

We had this exact argument with Iraq. It'll be great! The people will flock to the streets and support us!

Yeah, turned out that didn't happen.

Yeah, I'd expect anybody smart enough to figure out how to use a keyboard to know better than to support "regime change" after all the misery it's caused over the past 18 years.

How dumb do you have to be to look back at the disasters in Iraq, Libya, Syria, and Afghanistan, and say, "Let's do it again! This time it'll be different!"?

Speaking of dictators with bad genes, maybe Trump could liberate us first instead? I'll pitch in for that. Come on, we've got almost as much oil as those caribbean wetbacks! And besides, Justin Castro got a smaller percentage of the total electorate than Maduro did in the last election.

RT is a leftist newsmedia. That shit is staged. There are 2.000.000 Venezuelans in Colombia! And my country is a shithole, I don't feel bad admitting we are pretty fucked up! And guess what, Those venezuelans are better off in here than in Venezuela. It's like the colombian dream to them. They are literally thankful they can go eat empanadas and go to the grocery store. Go figure how things are in venezuela. I have not so close venezuelan family who arrived here three years ago and left their properties and belongings to earn a 200 USD a month and have some better future in here. I used to work with an ex-supreme court lawyer from venezuela who was taking calls in a call center earning 300 USD a month. Bussiness men, doctors, lawyers, highly educated people are coming and literally working in low-paying jobs. I feel like an american now lol. You can even get a hot venezuela girl to fuck you for 10 or 8 USD so she can send some money to her family back. I don't want a full scale war near my country but I don't know if venezuela can turn into a small North Korea if we keep maduro in power. I don't know if that retarded comunist regime can give in peacefully. Socialism is EVIL.

First thing about that video is that Blumenthal comes to precisely the same conclusion as anyone with a basic understanding of fiat currency does:

Quote:“There isn’t an issue here with food distribution or food scarcity,” Blumenthal concludes. “The issue is the buying power of Venezuelans has been completely destroyed because their currency has been so badly weakened by hyperinflation, speculation and the flood of dollars that the government can’t control here, as well as hoarding by private capitalist elements that support the opposition.”

Hyperinflation is, at all times and places, a wholly self-inflicted injury. The "flood" of dollars involved are the worthless bolivars that commodities are priced in. If there were a flood of US dollars in the country, the situation would stabilise itself very quickly because the US currency would become a currency that is trusted ... or at least trusted more than the toilet paper the bolivar currently is.

Also standard for government in hyperinflation scenarios: blaming hoarders. The "private capitalist elements" they're talking about are likely Venezuelans who do understand the basics of fiat currency and are accordingly stockpiling small consumer goods in order not to starve. Hoarding is basically the only way you survive under hyperinflationary conditions, because a small consumer good retains its value a lot better than the bullshit currency you bought it with.

Judges, doctors, lawyers, and businessmen working for pennies in other countries is also standard in hyperinflation. Hyperinflation always devastates the middle class, the class that has most of its wealth in currency-denominated assets. The poor are used to playing on Survival Mode and the rich have jets and use them the moment this sort of situation arises.

The useful information out of your on-the-ground is that Venezuelans will bang you for pennies on the US dollar. That's because the US dollar is a more trusted form of currency in Venezuela at this moment. You could offer them a million bolivars and they wouldn't uncross their legs for you. Just have a think about how bad it is in Venezuela, if a Venezuela ex-pat 8 can feed her family for a few weeks on a couple of US dollars.

What's increasingly amazing is the dimwitted premise that the only options on the table are invade/don't.

It goes to show just how degraded the brain of the average person is in this day and age. Or maybe people have been that retarded from the beginning. It's hard to say. But the reality is that most people these days are so numbed in the brain that when the television people say "our options are invade or don't invade" then they just nod dumbly.

"Maduro man bad. Liberation good. Orange man must liberate!"

All I hear on the radio is that Maduro has refused international aid on the border, and the average person is too stupid by an order of magnitude to read bewteen the lines. As if Maduro is just ignoring the free stuff because he obviously wants his people to suffer. tard

Obviously those supplies come on conditions that the media isn't going to bother to report, conditions doubtless including the admission of thousands of "aid distribution workers" who just happen to be drawing their paychecks from a Langley area code. Few Western dimwits will even bother to ask whether the cost of an invasion would be more/less than just dropping aid into the country gratis, but if you did something as silly as that then you might end up with a food/medicine industrial complex instead of a military industrial complex.

Can't have that, now. What a ridiculous notion.

It's possible for a man to be against Chavez policies, Maduro, the opposition, AND also against a U.S. military invasion.

I also haven't seen you spell out your perfect solution and timeline. If you are going to attack others, you should have it all figured out first.

The only problem with that is Curunír isn't fond of Detroit like he is of Venezuela.

I find it reasonable for anyone to have an opinion on the regime changes and wars that the US did screw up. I just find it odd that someone from another country is telling us who we should go to war with because he is found of the people. That has to be a troll account.

And yes, Maduro did win a larger percentage of his country's registered voters than did Justin, he got 68% of the voters that did show up, and 32% of total registered voters, whereas Trudeau only got 39% of the voters in a Canadian election where 32% abstained, which means that Trudeau actually got less that 27% of all registered voters.

Maduro's election numbers are more legit than those from just about any other democracy's, regardless of the abstention rate. That's an irrefutable fact.

RE: Venezuela is collapsing
Personally having historical eyewitness accounts of how this will actually play out I can say that if Americans (and the greater Western peanut gallery) think that anyone will be grateful for their intervention they're historically illiterate and just plain delusional.

My wife's parents lived through an "American intervention" against communists and the only thing they remember about America is their choppers strafing fleeing groups of villagers while they hosed them down with machine gun fire. Choppers pilots and door-gunners that were "never there", at least not in any official sense.

Let me be utterly blatant about this. Americans need to unretard and unfuck themselves. I never understood why those gunners would hose down civilians until I finally realized that these foreign interventions are in part specifically designed to drive global sentiment against the West. The globalist elite in the military will hand-pick the worst sociopaths they can find to specifically commit atrocities against the locals because fostering anti-Western sentiment is actually a win for them.

You will not be welcomed as liberators. You haven't been since WW2 and you wont be now. Everyone in the world is wise to the fact that when American troops show up then their master's profits are the #1 agenda. #2 is "getting home safely" no matter who you have to kill at the drop of a hat. Everything else ranks a distant third, so no, Venezuelans are not going to fall in love with Uncle Sam because a swathe of GI's arrive to fuck their wives for a dollar or a chocolate bar while putting their nation in the irons of globojewish slavery. My wife's parents don't remember the hunger but they damn sure remember the killing.

If you are an American or anyone in the West who's shilling for the same thing the globojewish cartel wants then you should do a serious reality check. Their agenda is devoutly anti-West. Anything they want is by definition 99% likely to be bad for the future of your nation. Wake the fuck up.

The public will judge a man by what he lifts, but those close to him will judge him by what he carries.

This is from a couple days ago I suppose. The US Navy admiral who runs the Southern Command telling the Venezuelan military they'll be held accountable for their actions. If I were a betting man this sounds like a thinly veiled threat they could be getting ready to launch cruise missiles of peace into Caracas.

From news sources it appears there are some countries who are not so sure about military action on Maduros forces and want more economic pressure.

The last time the world told John Bolton what to do he gave them the middle finger.
