He was a dutiful male feminist for a female who proceeded to give his name to some organizers who blasted him as an abuser at a women's march. Even though the accuser recanted, the accusation spread. Then his girlfriend broke up with them. He killed himself after that.

​According to the Argentinian news site Infobae, it started in December, when Agustin Munoz, 18, marched with other young people through the center of his native Bariloche to protest violence against women. The demonstrators chanted: "Never again, never silent."

At one point in the march, names of alleged sexual abusers were read off in a public shaming. Munoz's name was announced to the crowd because his friend, a fellow feminist who was identified only as A., had reported him.

"In the middle of that march, they shouted his name, and he was stunned," Munoz's mother, Silvina Castaneda, ​told the Bariloche 2000 news site. "His first thought was to run home."

After her son explained what happened, Castaneda said, she contacted the female friend, who immediately admitted the allegation and apologized. Castaneda angrily posted online the woman's text and voice mess-sages asking for forgiveness.

"I don't want any more madness," one message said.

Despite Castaneda's efforts to combat the accusation against her son, it continued to spread online, and Agustin became depressed. "He was in very bad shape, in bed, he did not want to eat," Castaneda told Infobae.

Just when Munoz seemed to be improving, Castaneda told Bariloche 2000, he got into a fight with his girlfriend on her birthday, and his mood sunk lower than ever.

Munoz "was a different boy and his emotional state was very weak ... like so many others . ... please look for tools to let our children grow without fear," Castaneda wrote on Facebook. Later, in a video posted online Saturday, she and her husband appeared with Munoz's peers and warned of the destructiveness of false sexual misconduct allegations.

Less than a week after the march, on Dec. 23, Castaneda posted online that her son had killed himself. "My son died yesterday with his heart broken," she wrote.

Castaneda said that her family had been close with the young woman, and that she and Munoz "loved each other very much." Out of respect for her son, she has decided not to shame the woman who shamed him, or to take further action.



"As a mother, as a mother accompanied by a father, I urge you to take care of our children, to take care of our children because there can not be another Agustin," she said.

​Feminists are on the march in Argentina, both figuratively and literally. Earlier this month, a popular radio host was ​court-ordered to hold scripted conversations with gender specialists as punishment for making sexist statements on air. That was days after the country's parliament passed a law requiring all officials to undertake gender equality training.

In July, National Public Radio reported on a popular daytime talk show in Argentina, "Intrusos," that unexpectedly embraced feminism ahead of a vote on legislation to legalize abortion. In August, however, the bill was voted down.

American media has generally celebrated Argentina's progress on women's rights almost as an extension of the domestic #MeToo ​movement. In both cases, attitudes toward women have clearly changed, which advocates hope will translate into decreased harassment and abuse.

However, less reflected in the press coverage is the dark side of such activism, which can encourage the ​vilification of men, sometimes with tragic results.

He was a feminist and therefor would no doubt have joined the mob to attack another man falsely accused in the same way by the same female. In fact, the accusation was made while he was marching in such a mob and he seemed to have no issue up until that point. He was a quisling, like the ones who pretended to be zombies in World War Z (the book, not the movie), and, like them, the zombies/feminists did not ultimately accept him as one of their own no matter how much he yearned to be one of them and be part of the winning team by betraying and offering up his own as a sacrifice. They instead discarded him as soon as he was no longer useful and ate him alive.

The Lesson: Never cooperate with feminists. They will never see you as a member of their in-group and, once you have helped them destroy all of the enemies who did not cooperate, they will turn on you, the one who did cooperate and you will at that point be alone. You might as well fight the enemy because they're going to try to kill you whether you do or not and you might as well embrace your own team because the enemy will never accept you as a member of theirs whether you do or not.

It's always sad when someone takes their own life. Hopefully this example (along with the others that assuredly go unreported) will go a long way towards convincing more and more men that being feminist as a man is always a losing proposition.

I think the next big social movement will be a conscious effort to distance ourselves from technology, especially the internet. You see it being reported in Silicon Valley already. The tech giants don't allow their children to play with iPad's because it's doing something to the development of the brain.

Gentlemen please, compation for a young man whose whole world was flipped on him in a day- he was completely blindsided. This poor boy was doing what he thought was right , what all his friends were doing and was just being a young man- however misguided.

We call it the "red pill" for a reason- people need to be woken up. Do you blame Neo for being in the matrix when he had no knowledge of its existence?

Furthermore suicide is a MALE problem, women ATTEMPT suicides MEN DO SUICIDE. Depression, suicide, and substance abuse are killing us and I expect compassion for young men on RVF if no where else.

I have had my own struggles with depression, substance abuse and the desire to kill myself- I came closer than I would like to admit- in hindsight it feels foolish and stupid and I reflect on my troubles as character building- but I remember when I was in the middle of the depression and really wanting the pain to stop and it kept getting worse. It is difficult to deal with isolation and indignity alone , on top of that with an online mob attacking you- the guy was not even 25 and had this ordeal.

This young man , may he find rest and solice in whatever is next, has my compassion. I wish I had the ability to just get him away from all that shit and talk to him for a couple weeks , maybe he would be alive. Rest in peace.

Edit: also this was a FALSE ALLEGATION, here at RVF we don't have love for the falsely accused? Compassion is a virtue. I have been falsely accused, they tried to accuse Roosh with some misinformation and I know others here have been through some crap with attention seeking women- even Lena Dunham falsely accused a guy. Compassion, that is all I am saying.

Good point, but this guy was beyond blue pilled. I personally have SOME compassion for him, but I have more for men who I consider fundamentally good but misguided (i.e. blue pilled). From this guy's picture and what we know about his life choices... Iunno, maybe he really does deserve a Darwin award (and I'm NOT quick to pass that kind of judgement on men who suffer from mental illness).

Another good point, and I'd like to see more compassion here and elsewhere for men struggling with mental illness and related problems (as opposed to the kind of attitude Mage pointed out is prevalent). I think the reason women attempt suicide more often is that for them it's typically a cry for help (i.e. take a bottle of sleeping pills and write a F-U letter to her friends) whereas men hang or shoot ourselves (though women who are serious will often choose these same violent methods). Mage's take on this is bang-on.

I think that the number one reason male mental health problems aren't taken seriously is that they are often (at least in part) the result of emotional and psychological abuse at the hands of women or by the gynocracy (schools, work, court systems, etc.).

Society: We want men to talk about their mental health problems.

Man suffering from depression: Well my wife cheated on me then divorced me and took all our--

No consecuences. The kid´s mother does not want to make an accusation for inducement to suicide because the girl "already apologize". The women is a total cuckoo. The sad part is when they did an interview, the mother did almost (or all) the talking. Thanks. If they do not start holding the women responsible for their actions, they are ensuring this stuff will continue. Men are going to have to find the courage to stand up to women and tell them no that this is not acceptable. The father should have stepped in and told the mother to be quiet and fought for his son if the mother doesn't have the integrity to do the right thing.
