I lived there nine months. Never had one problem (other than getting scammed in Tangier) but trust me...I assumed a large part of population hated me and acted accordingly.

Morocco is definitely one of the more successful Muslim countries, and they are an ally. That does not mean something like this is impossible or even surprising.

A friend of mine told me when he went there, the men kept trying to get close to the girls he was with, he said they basically couldn't go out in public without getting harassed/chased by the men there.

The video on her FB page is such hazardous propaganda it defies description. The second I saw the white guy in the beginning it was obvious he was to be the villain. Couple this with the predictable wonder-woman view of the world demonstrated on her IG page, and it's no surprise she wound up in this situation.

She and her unfortunate friend were so specifically trained in the exact opposite of what an attractive woman of child bearing age needs when facing the world - anywhere. I was in Morocco not long ago and as far as north African countries go sure, it's not so bad - but it's still not small town Scandinavia, for chrissakes! And two attractive blonde women traveling together is a lot different than two dudes of any variety - even a couple of homos have a better chance if they weren't too flamboyant (Morocco was known as a destination for homo tourism during the 1950s-60s Beat generation, FWIW).

Even in first world countries in areas full of white folks in broad daylight, people in general need to be careful, but particularly women and especially young hot women prone to wearing tight yoga pants walking around with earbuds and a 21st century mindset. Oh, is that sexist? Whatever - it's also good sense to realize there's men out there who will treat desirable women as chattel, no different than an uncooperative goat. In some cultures more than others, they get frustrated and angry enough to act far beyond even sexual assault, even more so if the woman is foreign.

Feminists tried to tell us for years that rape is a crime of violence but the stats do not bear that out - young, hot women are disproportionately targeted versus older unattractive women. Couple this with a "people are people and I'm supergirl!" outlook of the average thot and you might as well be giving a kitchen knife and a bottle of rum to a three year old.

As for news, I only got this far after reading the bullshit US version, which of course didn't say a hell of a lot. The crap detector went off full blast. Lo and behold, it's exactly as I suspected.

What percentage of tourists to a particular country being murdered in a given year is the threshold for that country being a dangerous place that should be avoided, that no sane person would visit, and where anyone who falls victim to murder is an idiot for even stepping off the plane? 5 percent? Most certainly. 1 percent? Definitely. 0.1 percent? Probably. How about if two tourists out of 10 million in one year are murdered? It's important to keep statistics in mind when making such judgments. The world would be a worse place if all blonde Scandinavian tourists were too scared to leave home.
