Dude the only things I know about Islam is basic stuff like Shia/Sunni, Mohammed, Mecca. And I don't see any reason to learn more than that. So nope, not obvious for me.

I mean, sure that could be why they cut her head off like that. Doesn't really change that it made the terror attack and video far more soul wrenching.

Well, having hands-on experience is one of the perks of living in an occupied country I guess ..
