Clutching at straws my friend. The trend of barbaric hordes overcoming more developed societies is a common theme in all of history.

Innovation is not an exclusive domain. Similarly much of modern western medicine and science has traces of muslim contribution.

Too many here are reluctant to accept the globalis nature of human advancement as it conflicts with their "whitey rightey" thesis.

Day 6: Sentinelese warriors no longer exist as a distinct culture. They are now just one more cog in the New World Order. Sentinelese culture destroyed in six days just like in Bible.

Not true my friend. The moors (North West Africans) that colonised Spain had much more technological, scientific and medicinal advancements than Europeans. They had lights on the streets of Granada before there were in London or Paris. Also, Europeans would come to the Moorish kingdom to learn about medicine.

Your notion that Europeans were the most civilised and sanitary people in the world at the time is false. The Moors themselves believed they were civilising the Spanish people, who lived in the same homes as their horses and chickens.

I have a feeling this guy had some "crucify me" type syndrom. Meaning he sought out dangerous situations in order to die a martyrs death. If he really wanted to reinstate God`s kingdom on earth, it would make more sense to find an isolated island and then send out an invitation to like minded people.

It's always interesting how people react to outside influences. For example, you have Cortes being seen as the return of Quezalcoatl by the Aztecs and the cargo cults of the South Pacific.

It was not until the Crusades that finally there was a general idea that the Moors "have to go back".

When "they went back", emerged the two first global empires and superpowers, with richess and knowledge that the world has never seen before, Spain and Portugal. So I guess that Christians fared better after those savages left the Peninsula.

The Crusades were also to defend Constantinople, which ultimately failed and became the muslim Istanbul.

Interestingly enough, the fall of Constantinople lead directly to the deep water exploration by the Spanish and Portuguese. They wanted to get around the muslim chokehold of the Asian spice trade. They did that and also discovered the new world.

As well, around the same time, the muslims were expelled from Spain after occupying it for centuries.

This makes me think of something no one mentioned. Why was a young guy spending all his time and effort doing this instead of meeting women? (Or at least one woman with whom he could marry.)

I can see why old people might go around trying to save people. They have little else going on. But a young guy? Why?

And what about "Be fruitful and multiply?" A lot of barren "Christian singles" traveling the world "saving" people seem to have missed that one.
