Don't get me wrong, I love Vegas. But I am also firmly middle class, love buffet-style food and trashy sluts. Vegas is a sewer and I enjoy it for that reason.

To be fair it was 9 years ago, the kid was 25 yo, possibly grew up watching american films and hearing american music, and probably was trying to check out how his image as 2008 footballer of the year would work in the US. I remember it was rumoured a fling with Paris Hilton around this time. Also after he exploded as a global star, 2009-2010 was his worst season as a player followed also by a lackluster world cup 2010. He probably learned his lesson to leave the US party scene after that ))))

This is getting major airtime on UK radio, observed while driving. He should never have given her money, it set a precedent. I know he has/had a brand to protect, but nevertheless, sleeping with random chicks in Vegas would have put the stupid gay rumours to bed. The fact one of the best male athletes of all time could potentially even be tried on such a silly charge shows the West needs to seriously look at its bias towards female attention seeking/post-even rationalisation.

I've just had a similar experience; driving back to work from shops listening to the radio. The advertising bloke on the radio basically said that whatever the truth of the matter, Ronaldo was now 'bad PR' and everyone will be holding back on current advertising (stuff already in the pipe-line and due to come out)

Funnily enough, I just walked past a giant cardboard cut-out of Ronaldo in a supermarket where they were flogging the new Fifa game (of which he is the face). I'm sure they are planning a huge world-wide push for Christmas.

Yeah it's infuriating. Nobody at my workplace believes the charges though, people are completely bored of the Me Too nonsense. < I wonder why the soccer players don't record every sexual encounter secretly. Sure - it's illegal evidence, but it saved already a few players in the UK when they were accuses of gang-rape by a hoe.
