I apologize if this has been brought up before, search function brought up nothing.

TLDR: girl gave me gonorrhea, we have mutual friends, how do I tell her without it blowing up in my face?

K first off, gotta thank this forum for everything it's done for me, by far the best website I've ever stumbled upon by pure chance while lost in blissful betaville it was literally life altering. The BEST part? You avoided getting something that you can't get rid of like the herp or worse. Heck you avoided pregnancy (if you really think that you trust her that much to take her birth control all the time...or ACTUALLY be on birth control in the first place...you're not thinking very seriously).

Also, just so you're aware, many girls with the clap don't actually know they have it...being able to lubricate less than normal is actually a symptom that isn't usually noticed. This is an STD she could've had for a long time and not shown symptoms and not realized she had it. I'm all for her being responsible for safe sex, but for you to put all the responsibility on her when it's an STD that half of women who have it are asymptomatic, and the OP decided to condom free because she "said" she was on birth control?

Let's be realistic, OP fucked up. She may be a filthy slut, she may not be, we just don't know. Either way, he should bear his part of the responsibility and talk to her and either next her or not, and be more responsible in the future. It's the only thing he can control. I was in the same situation about 2 years ago. The girl liked me already so she was the one hitting me up on the regular. I had symptoms, got checked, and got pissed as hell.

Yeah I did fuck up, I know I know. We live and learn, and like you said aneroid, at least it's just the clap. I asked questions for her while I was at the doc because I'm good natured, and it's more serious for girls then guys so she really should get a heads up. Yeah I was really mad when symptoms started, but hearing it could be cured with just anti-biotics and a weeks time those feelings have subsided .
