I can't predict the actions of BLM, but I can be reasonably sure that this would not be going the way it is now, if it was a male officer who shot the poor guy. It is completely incongruent, given the eruptions we've seen recently, that this meanders along at the pace it's going.

Of course it's all being manipulated. Public opinion most certainly is swayed by the lack of media coverage in this story. That was my point in my post when I said "Stop believing everything you see (and don't see)". The outrage is there. I see it with my own eyes. It simply isn't televised for *you* to see. The Prime Minister of this man's home country showed up in Dallas where people were marching in the streets. And the victim isn't someone who can whip people up on both sides (black vs white)... meaning he was successful. 20 something analyst for a prestigious international accounting firm. Very little press on purpose.

It's now coming out that she was initially identified to dispatchers as a "security guard", which is interesting, because an acquaintance told me the police gossip circuit in Dallas is that Guyger had a skeleton key given to her by management. Supposedly, half of DPD is talking about this.

Could be utter bullshit, but I'm wondering if she had some kind of unofficial job with building management. It could explain why she was pounding on the door demanding Jean "open up".

Suppose he'd been boning her and was smart enough

The people financing the BLM riots are probably opting for a quiet strategy right now for some reason. Or the BLM leadership (often radical feminists) don't want to hang a woman. The Dallas police chief is a black woman (and admitted domestic abuser) and is probably using all her juice to keep this bottled up, but there is only so long she can keep her finger in the dyke. It would make more sense than the official story. Could also be her trying to catch zzzz at home on unofficial on the clock breaks (hence the noise complaints from her apartment) and he keeps waking her up with his music. She's heavy handed and he won't bow down. They end up in some kind of struggle and she shoots him. Realizes she'll go down for Home Invasion and Murder if the story plays out like that, and tries to concoct a set of facts that just might get her off. Just spit balling here, but anything is more likely than the official story. Explains why they're working so hard to protect her, because her boss in that elite unit is going to go down for allowing this.

Assume she really did think it was her place. Assume also that the door was opened a crack and she pushed it in, pistol drawn, which would be my reaction walking into my own place with the door opened for no reason with nobody home.

His reaction:

Her reaction:

Not that she had justifiable reasons for deadly force, but the second she saw him move away and ignore her commands she thought (assumed) he was going for a weapon and fired. She'll still get nailed for manslaughter but there's little evidence of racism or hanky panky here.

The police vest, laptop and police equipment can be corroborated either way with model information for issued equipment in that department. More than likely all hers. There is zero evidence they searched the entire apartment, only the immediate area where the body dropped and from where she shot. Not her fault there was pot in that same area. She knew she couldn't pick up her own shit and take it with her without disturbing the scene, so she did not.

I suspect as is often the case, a careful analysis of the facts will create a slightly different reality than the first pass from a media predisposed to look at race and just run with it.

1) As posted somewhere else, the doors are designed to close. automatically and cannot be left open. Also witnesses heard her knocking

2) This is an incredibly small amount of marijuana to be "dealing". Fucking nobody would bother scrambling to hide the dope with that small amount, let alone "leave the door ajar"

3) There is also zero evidence they did not search the entire apartment, so I dont think you can assume either way

From what I've seen, the doors will indeed close (one resident posted a youtube video) if allowed to swing from fully open position. But will they close fully from just barely closed? Maybe that's how they were designed; maybe this door stuck a bit. I'm sure investigators are looking at that too.

We have no idea what they are required to do for backup, but I bet I know what most cops would do - they'd push against the ajar door of their "own apartment" and take a look. The drugs found were likely found right there.

IF she reasonably believed (again, will depend upon door investigation above, and other factors) that it was her place being burglarized she did indeed have the authority to command. There is no "right to resist" in that situation or whatever else at that moment even if later the cop is proven to be mistaken. BLM has really fucked up the public understanding of what a cop is allowed to do.
