Hey everyone,

I was with a chick who was kissing around my groin (she hadn't yet started blowing me). That's when she decided to tell me she had a cold sore on her mouth.

I didn't kiss the chick (thankfully) but am curious if kissing around the groin region can spread it?

The simple answer is yes. You can get hsv 1 & 2 on your dick and pretty much anywhere there is soft pliable tissue or a mucus membrane. Avoid it as long as you can for sure but if you bang a lot of chicks its very likely you'll get it hsv1 and hsv2 by the end of your life.

I really encourage you not to worry too much about it because with a healthy immune system you'll rarely have outbreaks and it's likely the least damaging std you can get.

Was the sore inside her mouth or out and exposed on her lip?

I’m asking because the term “cold sore” could mean a lot of things, and people use it as a euphemism for a herpetic lesion, but not always.

So she didn't actually have a sore (as far as I could tell). She texted me today saying she thinks she's getting one from change in the weather.

Not sure if that's even a cold sore then.

Unless she got tested it`s impossible to know exactly what it was. Could have been any bacterial infection, or maybe HPV. I would also take a pass in that situation. You wouldn`t enjoy the blowjob thinking about it anyway.

I would ramp up pure vitamin C consumption for the next couple days for the body to fight off every possible infection.
