The royal family has always been a good distraction for bigger things going on in the country since time began.


Aside from that this is a very symbolic 'get with the times' sort of moment for the royal family. Britain has culturally reshaped itself so much in the last twenty years that it is hard to keep up. I predict that later this year the British army will be the last traditional institution to fall, they will really aim to transform that by the end of the year. This is something that happened to the police back in the mid 1990s.
All of ties in together, as I get the impression that there is almost a check list that is being checked off with these sort of things.

As for black people, probably best to ask the ones on this forum what they think. But I genuinely don't see them being moved by this or really caring.

As for Meghan Markle herself, she is attractive and in good shape but her red flags are reaching Defcon1 level. If I had a friend who was dating her minus all the fame, I would be seriously encouraging him to leave her. Britain is a feminist nation at the end of the day, and she is probably the best icon for her.

@Zelcorpion that Guardian article you posted on the last page is an interesting one. Even back then in 2000, the writing was on the wall for the UK.
Typically though the article focuses on two of the most anti white people of influence of that time.
Yasmin Alibhai Browne (who BPS talks about in a recent video) and Lee Jasper, advisor to Ken Livingstone.
What I really noticed from the piece is yet again the inclination of ethnically non-Europeans to consistently favour their own over the indigenous population of the country that has been so good as to open it's doors to them.

Think about this. If Harry had married what he DESERVES, a hot nubile 20 year old who never had a boyfriend because she was out feeding the poor, the women of the west would be shrieking he was robbing the cradle.
