There's a girl i have been seeing some friday nights when going out. Let's call her Sarah. She's a shy girl and she's also a virgin, so i had to build trust and open her up the first times. After a few times we started making out and started texting more. The problem is, when i invite her over and try to escalate further than kissing, she comes up with an excuse. I asked her 2 times now, and she's either doing something or it's bad timing. Anyway...fast forward till yesterday. I got tired of trying on her, because i am neglecting every other girl in the club when she's around. I spend all my time and energy on her, but it isn't going any further than kissing, so i thought fuck it. Even though she's showing strong signs that she likes me. And she always texts me to ask if i will go out so we can meet.

Yesterday we met at the club, but i briefly said hello, smiled and went on with my night. I picked up a 6.5/10 girl, went on the dance floor and ended up making out with her. I didn't notice my surroundings and i saw Sarah in the background. I thought, fuck i don't hope she saw me, i would feel bad about flirting with her and then making out with other girls in front of her. I tried talking to her that night, but she seemed distant and kind of cold. Haven't seen her like that before. I didn't bother trying to find out why, i just went on with my night and had a good time.

Sarah texted me the following day, "who's that girl from last night?" i said, it's just some random girl, she was nothing. She said "it didn't look like that haha" so at this point she must have seen me making out with her, and i could sense she was getting jealous. I told her "well you didn't have time for me, you were cold", and she said "i wonder why :("

Is it a good thing she saw me with another girl as it might show her i have more options and she will be more sparked up to get my attention again and maybe go further than just kissing. Or is it a bad thing because she will think i moved on from her. I still want to pursue her, she's so beautiful, but it's not leading anywhere else than kissing. After 4 weeks.

Well if she's a virgin an you haven't even hit it yet and she's already getting jealous over what your "teenage" sounding relationship sounds like... I'd ditch her bro..

Moving on, meeting new chicks and making it with one in front of her, showed her you have options and made her jealous and wonder if she's missing out. Congratulations. Accidentally done but it worked.

Now you messed up being defensive in your responses, the best thing would have been to answer those questions casually or dismiss them. You didn't do anything wrong, she's not your girlfriend. At least you should act that way. It also shows you don't care that much about her. That's actually a good thing because you have no reason to at this stage.
Let her wonder, then make a move on her again another time. See if she's less shy next time.

I dont know man, she seems worth it. She's super feminine and kind. I prefer her over most girls right now. It's just that i have no idea how to progress further than kissing at this point. When there's already so much time passed and also when she's "too shy" to come over and spend time just the two of us, when i ask her to come over.

I will definitely make a move on her the next time we meet, and see if she's more open after this episode. I think i fucked up by saying she's just some random girl, instead of showing her that im seeing other girls than her. By telling her that this girl was a nobody and i like her more than the random girl, i think i lost frame and put her over me again. For a second i was on top, but now she probably thinks she's above again. If i left her wondering it would have been better in my opinion.

There's a perfect go to line for that situation: "I don't kiss and tell"

You could even answer casually and honestly: "Who was it? Her names Sarah, nice girl, she works at X. Do you know her?/Have you been there?"

She also might say something like "Do you like her?"
The wrong answer is: "No, I like you more! She was just some slut"
The wrong answer is also "Yes, I like her a lot"
The best answer is going to be something like "Ah, I don't know, she's ok." without much elaboration.

She might continue peppering you with questions, you can always shut it down with "I don't kiss and tell" if she starts to get out of control.

Or you could start to even accuse her and make fun of the double standard, she's a single girl at a bar basically alone, so she's looking to meet other men too. She's not the innocent virgin she pretends to be.

I've been playing, learning and practising chess recently and I'm starting to see a lot of similiarities with these game scenarios that are posted here.

When you make a move, you have to know or at least have an idea what your opponents move back is going to be. And almost everyone here isn't doing that. I'm always thinking a few moves ahead of the girl in situations like this.

So I would already know that I'm going to be questioned about the other girl as soon as she caught me and I would start planning what I'm going to do or say when she makes her move to ask me about it.

And I will be thinking "well if I respond this way, she will ask me about x" so I need to plan quite a few moves in advance.

That way if she comes out and makes a strong move like saying "So, do you like her" for most people that will be checkmate, but I will already have a back up plan ready to attack her in response. I might not checkmate her, but I can at least force a stalemate in this situation.

I agree, but you might be able to get back the frame here if you act more casually next time.

About that, yeah i actually wanted to tease her with this. But i didn't want it to sound like im jealous of her or that i care who she kisses or what she does, so i didn't bother. I will be seeing her next week again, and so i will assert my frame better. Excited to see how she reacts this time around. Thanks again.

EDIT: Just a little question, say for example we get back to making out next week and everything is good again, she's happy etc. Would i be wasting time with her since she doesn't want to progress further than kissing? Is there a way i can test her to see if she's willing to. What steps should i take from here.
