Velez was hired at Clark Elementary in October 2014 as a bilingual instructional aide after studying psychology and Spanish at uni, according to her school personnel file.

She said in a Linkedin profile while studying: "My overall objectives in life are to graduate from John Carroll University and then become an F.B.I. Agent."

School district spokeswoman Roseann Canfora said: "The allegation did not surface when she was an employee of the district.

“However, when the allegation surfaced recently against the former employee, the information was referred to Cleveland Police and the Department of Children and Family Services.”

The case will go before a Cuyahoga County grand jury to decide how it will proceed.

Police Union President Steve Loomis said: “Like all Americans, Officer Velez is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

“A rush to judgement is speculative, not warranted. We trust in our criminal justice system.”

The complainant frequently told the defendant that she was 16 in Whatsapp messages that passed between them.

Ahsan asked the girl in one message if she wanted to 'do sex'.

'These messages show the defendant behaving in a manipulative, inappropriate and sexual manner towards the complainant,' Miss Shotton said.

'It is clear from the responses that these comments were not solicited, were not wanted and that the complainant did not want to kiss or hug the defendant.

'It was not long after the complainant had started studying at the tutorial college that the defendant started acting inappropriately towards her - writing notes to her and saying that she found her eyes 'attractive and alluring'.

The Muslim teacher told police none of the incidents happened, insisted she was into men and said she was due to get married to a male friend.

In her police interview played to the jury the girl said Ahsan wrote down on a piece of paper that she 'shouldn't trust anyone but that I should trust her.

'She also pointed out that my eyes were alluring and that my eyes were controlling.

'She told me...that she had had sex before marriage and she's a Muslim and that's not appropriate in our religion.

'She was all lovey-dovey but she also had an evil side and I considered her as evil.

'Like I can't control my eyes but she would say that my eyes are controlling.

'She would try and blame me like I'm responsible for all of the things that aren't in my control.

'She told like who she's had sex with, like she never talked about any details of it but like sometimes in her conversations she would imply stuff, like it's not a big deal or it doesn't hurt.

'Considering that she was Asian, that she had an education, I found her cool like she's got a physics degree, she's funny, she's done a lot of things.

'She used to be very strict in her lessons but I used to be allowed to go to the toilet without asking her.

'If I never used to allow her to kiss me, she would hug me and if I didn't allow her to hug me she would try and kiss me.

'Because it was GCSE times and I would consider myself as a hard working student, it made me try and understand what she would try to do.

'So I would spend less time doing work and more time trying to think about what she was trying to do.'

The court heard Ahsan had four different phone numbers and despite the victim blocking her number, she still tried to get into contact with her.

The prosecutor said: 'Then on four or five occasions she forced herself on the complainant, trying to kiss her by being physical with her.

'She put her arms either side of her, while the victim had her back against the wall.

'She touched her shoulders, moving towards her trying to kiss and hug her as the complainant tired to move her face away so she wasn't kissed on the lips.'

The jury was also played a recorded police interview of the alleged victim, who explained she got tutoring while she was studying for her GCSEs and after a while she 'knew something wasn't right'.

The teenager said: 'After some time she gave me a letter and on the letter she talked about how she wanted to me to like her and get married with her.

'On the other side it had terms and conditions of what would happen when we got married.'

She added: 'I was very confused. She offered to help me and every teacher has a favourite student and I thought it was like that.

'But she would say something and then used to back off.

'Like she would say something and she would act like I did something and blame me like I'm controlling her.'

Ahsan, of Catford, south London, denies one count of sexual assault and one alternate count of sexual activity with a child in a position of trust.

The trial continues.

Teacher, 28, Accused of Park Sex With Teen Student After Sending Lewd Snapchat Message

Authorities believe the relationship continued from there: The student said he was at a friend’s house one day earlier this year when Reddy allegedly “showed up unexpectedly” and took him to a nearby parking lot at a local nature preserve, where she “climbed on top” of the student and “pulled down her pants” and they had sex, according to the affidavit.

Reddy was arrested Friday on charges of institutional sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility and corruption of a minor, according to authorities.

Solebury police said they were alerted to the alleged relationship on Nov. 20. The affidavit states the alleged sexual assault occurred between December and May 1.

Reddy taught at Pennington from August 2013 to August 2017. She moved to Maryland this year to begin a teaching job at a school there, St. Paul’s School for Girls, police said.

She is being detained in Maryland while awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania and could not be immediately reached.

It’s unclear if she has a lawyer who could comment on her behalf.
School: ‘This News Is Deeply Disturbing’

Reddy was terminated from St. Paul’s after her arrest last week and is banned from the campus, according to school head Penny Evins. It’s unclear which subject Reddy taught at St. Paul’s.

“This news is deeply disturbing to all of us and saddens us,” Evins said in a letter to the school community, which was provided by St. Paul’s School for Girls. “Before today, we had no information suggesting any prior improper conduct by Mrs. Reddy.”

In a letter to the community of its own, the Pennington School said it reported the alleged inappropriate relationship between Reddy and the student to authorities after being “recently made aware” of it.

“The School has a strong ongoing commitment to the safety, health, and wellness of all students,” officials said in the letter.

I'd very much like to see these teacher-student cases collated and put into some kind of chart, then overlaid with the stats for psychiatric medication use (25% of all American women) and numbers of women who've admitted to cheating on their husbands (as much as 60%, according to some estimates).

Throw in the cuckoldry rate, where a woman gives birth to a child, then husband/S.O. raises it, unaware he is not the father (1%), which sounds low until you compare it to the forcible rape rate, which clocks in at about .03%.

Compare that perspective against the divorce initiation stats (75-80% of divorces are initiated by women) and use all of the above to educate young men.

It'd be a good start, but even then it would only scratch the surface and probably be ignored by half the guys anyway.

Christian school teacher 'busted by her HUSBAND while having sex with her 15-year-old student'

The sheriff's office identified Baber as a former teacher, but she remains on the school's online staff directory. The website says Baber lives south of Eugene with her husband, a dog and a cat.
