I just can't get over the nonchalant attitude a lot of people have towards police, and the subservient attitude they have towards authority figures in general. These cops are usually low-IQ people on a power trip from high.

We do have a serious problem with police overstepping their boundaries in this country IMHO but in this case i think his reaction was well warranted. No bootlicking or being subservient. In this case she's resisting arrest and attacked him and he defended himself.

There are many times where cops overstep but in my opinion, this isn't one of them.

I think she already got some leniency. In my experience, it's standard for police to grind your face in the concrete before hauling you off.

If you were a cop, how much would you allow drunk bitches to hit you, before you stopped them. Perhaps you think he was allowed to hit her, but he should have hit her more softly. You would probably agree that if he smacked her too softly, she might have continued hitting him.

What is the correct, precisely calibrated, percentage of his actual force that he should have applied, so he would be gentle enough, but would make sure that she understood not to try hitting any more? Keep in mind she had no bruises from the open handed slap he delivered. I think you're splitting hairs to say his response was not calibrated precisely enough.

While this video isn't the greatest example of abuse of power, your point about how she was shown "leniency" highlights the issue with how police handle force.

Side note to this whole affair: Never consider a girl for LTR/wife that pounds alcohol hard. She's likely to do something really violent, cheat on you, get involved with the cops or otherwise causes you misery. Women that drink too much are a red flag 100% of the time. I've never seen a friend date a sloppy drunk girl who had any long-term potential. Don't do it gents.

Agreed, if a girl ever gets drunk like that I would cut her loose asap. Same thing with guy friends who can't control their liquor. I used to room with a buddy who would get shit wasted with his girlfriend. Ugly.

This skank deserved what she got but in the video it appeared that she was attempting to high-five one of the guys as she was dragged away. It's possible that she didn't intend to hit the cop.

Regardless, she will get a fat settlement out of this. Hopefully that full on knockout taught her a lesson.

Men who drink too much are a red-flag by themselves. Drinking a "lot" is a sign of not being responsible toward your health and your wealth. Definitively not the kinda partner you want to have for a "long time relation".

Though it could work on the short run.

Women are emotional and prone to rationalizing much more than men. It is our job to hold them in line, not have the same standard for them, which they can't uphold. This drunk woman needed to have a father figure or bf/hubby that checked her behavior. Either daddy/bf/hubby is missing or weak. This is actually the byproduct of too little masculine authority somewhere, otherwise she would have never been so out of line in the first place. The police are a secondary thing in all of this.
