78 days in but unfortunately I can't say I've been doing hard mode. Things were relatively easy after I managed to get past the big 2 week road block that's stopped my streak a few times before, but edging is still an issue for me. I had written in my post at the 60 day mark /thread-12879...pid1656338 of the problem and it's intensified since then.

I think there is a heightened awareness regarding emotions. I used to think the highs and lows I would feel every other day were because I was jacking it to porn so much. Going on two weeks strong, no relapses. The key for me this last two weeks is that I've been absolutely booked with productive activity. Been working hard on business matters, plus cleared a bunch of girls not worthy of LTR from my Facebook.

I'm getting more focused on that wife search, which means letting go of "options" that aren't really worth chasing. I typically wake up 1-2 hours before whatever time I'm supposed to be out of bed, sometimes earlier. I've always had trouble getting into deep sleep if I know I have to be up a certain time in the morning, so it's pretty uncommon for me to be out cold asleep to the time my alarm clock goes off. Instead, I'll be awake and lying in bed. During this time, I'll be conscious and be trying to fall back asleep which I can't do typically since I know I have to be up soon. It's in this state when I'll typically start getting touching myself and start fantasizing sexually.

There's also the moment after my alarm clock off. I'll turn it off and then lie down for another 15-20 minutes and that's another time when I'll start edging.

1 Year Reflection Post

It's been a long year, I can't believe how fast it blew by. I’ve got some free time tonight so let's talk about what I've found.

Why one year?

I’ve been in and out of the NoFap community since around 2009. Just like game, I went through periods where I believed in it with all my heart, times when I thought it was complete BS, and everything in between.

I started getting back into the swing of things in 2013, when I had a serious girlfriend and wanted to have more sex with her. I ended up knocking out a few strong 30+ day streaks, but I was having sex 5+ times a week so it wasn’t too much of a challenge.

Despite this, doing NoFap while in an LTR sold me on the magic. When I was on a long streak, I felt infinitely more pair bonded to her. It was really magical, I felt connected to her on a much deeper level.

We ended up breaking up in 2014 and I had to determine how NoFap would fit into my life as a player.

Like many guys here, if I don’t orgasm frequently my performance in bed is cut short. Hell for me, even after 2-3 days of NoFap, I can’t last more than a few minutes. Chalk it up to high libido or whatever, but I wanted to find a way to balance the mental benefits of NoFap and also be a sex god.

I tried everything…

-Just once a week
-Just once a month
-Just before dates
-Edging

And none of it really worked. Anytime I’d masturbate, the next day my mind would be noticeably slower. It’d take me a few days to get “the edge” back.

October of last year, I was big on the edging train. I was practicing everyday, for 20-40 minutes. There were a few problems:

1. Sometimes you just blow your load. This brings all the negatives of fapping I talked about earlier.

2. It takes a lot of time.

3. I would get horny as FUCK if I didn’t cum, which would cause me to jack off later or text some fat girls.

Social skills

I’m much more forward in all areas of life. Girls, conversation, business, etc. I’m a much bigger risk taker and don’t fear new social environments, because I know I’ll dominate.

Approaching

When I see a girl I like, one that has the “genetic pull” as Krauser calls it, I feel my dick pulling me towards them like a magnet. There’s so much pent up sexual energy waiting to be discharged in the correct vagina, that when a tall lanky brunette walks by, it’s like my brain shuts off and my penis takes over.

Libido/Multiple Rounds

Before this year, I was never really able to have sex for multiple rounds. When I was in my LTR in 2014, I was never able to, unless like an HOUR went by. During this streak, I decided to change things up and see if I could go multiple rounds.

Over the past year I’ve been working on focusing my sexual energy and now my libido is through the roof. It’s almost guarenteed that I’ll be able to go for two rounds. The only time round two doesn’t happen is when I’m exhausted and want to pass out, or the girl is so boring/ugly that my dick shrivels away in disgust.

With the 5 G’s supplement stack, my refractory time is down to about 10-15 minutes. This is perfect for girls. It gives us enough time to get a glass of water, cuddle, clean up semen, whatever. But, I don’t care. It’s definitely worth it. The time wasted is definitely worth the ROI of all the benefits listed above. If I spend 15 minutes wrestling with my urges, who cares, if the mental sharpness can gain me those 15 minutes back?

My #1 tip for guys with urges is to just keep going. It gets better. One year in, I am so much more in control of my urges, it’s amazing.

Everybody is so conditioned to be horny 24/7, and ACT on it whenever we feel like it. Think about it, how often do you get a boner and go “hmm…guess it’s time to jack off!” I started jacking off when I was like 13. That’s 12 years of porn and masturbation habits I’ve got to erase. Do you really think it’ll go away after a few days of NoFap?

This shit takes YEARS to be completely reversed, but after this year, I’m confident I’m on the right path. My urges have totally stabilized and I’m so much more in control of them now. I can’t wait to see what the next year holds.

Wet Dreams

Prior to this year, I never had a wet dream in my life, EVER. During this streak though, I had two.

It was a few months ago, I was in a remote location for work, where there were no girls. I was there for two months. Weeks 1-4 went fine, but weeks 5-6 were hell. I felt like my balls weighed 200 lbs each. All I could think about was sex.

It’s then that I had my wet dreams. One night, I was having a dream about fucking some girl. Totally normal for me, until I woke up and had a gallon of semen all over my stomach.

“WHAT THE FUCK?”

I never had this happen in my life. How could this happen to me? I walked around all day freaking out, talking myself out of NoFap, reconsidering all my life choices.

Over time I’ve gotten much better at catching myself before I get too hypnotized, but I’m still not 100% porn free.

The best thing for me is Self-Control app for Mac. There’s a few girls’ twitters and a few subreddits that I always want to browse, so if I feel myself going down the rabbit hole, I fire up Self-Control and I’m back on track.

Even though I’m not a NoPorn purist yet, I’m much better in that I pretty much completely avoid hardcore porn now. I’ll look at naked pictures of girls and snap out of it. Hardcore porn has a much stronger effect on the mind…so I know to stay away.

Flatline

Yes, flatline happens.

The first few times I got really scared. I felt like a different person. I thought for sure my dick would fall off and I’d be rendered an incel forever.

But - that never happened. After a few days libido returned and it was back to your regularly scheduled sex fiend.

Now that I’ve been through a few flatlines, I know it subsides, and YOURS WILL TOO!

In Conclusion

Stick with it guys. Patience is the key. Nothing good happens overnight.

Like I said, most of us have been masturbating for years if not decades. This can be a seriously earth-shattering habit that will jumble up all your brain chemistry. Just because you don’t feel good after 14 days doesn’t mean JACK SHIT.
