Trump gets people like very few Natural Born Alphas do. While he has this larger than life persona, there's a quiet part about Trump I'm sure in social settings where he sits back and just observes reality as it is, not as he projects it to be. He projects his will in the public sphere, but in the private sphere I have a strong intuition that he's highly reflective and soaks up interactions like a sponge.

P.S. Shia is just a sad case of someone that badly needs help. The 4chan folks robbing his flag aside (hilarious!), I almost feel sorry for the guy, if he wasn't a leftist.

I think because he has never drank alcohol he got used to, in social situations, observing people around him and assessing their personalities as a way to keep himself entertained while everyone else was getting inebriated.
