1. She already got a man.

2. Even if she didn't (and she definitely does), she's got a wall of secret service between you and her.

3. Whole lot of media attention for anyone who got near her (which means fame, which is more trouble than it's worth).

4. There's no way a dude with my background fits into that family (they wouldn't want it and, frankly, can't see why such a dude would want to deal with that either). Also, the mere inkling of a relationship would be enough to fuck up her and her father's political career and create a whole wave of extra drama I don't need.

5. Between her father, the media, the secret service, and the fact that she's an elite law school student (which brings challenges in and of itself), this whole endeavour is set to offer far more drama than its worth.



Verdict: WNB (Would Not Bother)

In this situation I would forget about swooping and just focus on building an alliance with her and whatever group she gets into at the law school. Play the long game. Also because of SS and media attention even doing that may well be impossible, so it may be best to work it through a proxy.

Elite law girls are terrible to get with and I'm speaking from experience, especially for a middle class person such as myself.

Coming from my background I found them and their social circle annoying and pretentious. Like how some of the girls would do extensive paid/legal 'research' on their male classmates to find out such data points as net worth and who their family is connected to. It was a form of gold/power digging I've never witnessed before.

Luckily for me I didn't care about them or their apparent status at all. I treated them poorly and this in turn made me more fascinating and attractive. Being an outsider has it's advantages. I mean they could hook up with a classmate, but then gossip ensues if things go wrong (or right.) Maybe it will jeopardize their future goals. On the outside none of this applies, nobody will know or care, in a few years she'll probably be far away in NYC or DC.

If you don't have the pedigree she will know deep down that your 'dating' has no future, but you should already know that. Just get yours, stay on good terms, and work that network for opportunities.

I guess the lesson here is shoot for the stars. Most women even if these 'elite' circles are not completely inaccessible, especially on a short term basis.
