Personally I think the whole "raping and pillaging" thing is all the result of a massive misunderstanding.

My suspicions are that the vikings were in fact just highly motivated weapons traders that landed on shore, wares in hand, and immediately started shouting about the virtues of their goods, unfortunately in a foreign language.

The weak cucks of elsewhere (weak cucks by definition, not being vikings) simply got the vapors and mistook this for militant aggression. The more stalwart locals mounted an offensive and the vikings simply reacted in self defence. The rest of the men fled and the women, being women, later complained about how all the vikings "raped" them before taking reasonable financial recompense for the unprovoked assault upon their persons and sailing away.

Notable would have been the number of women who took special care to check the direction the vikings left in and suddenly went to visit family up or down the coast accordingly.

It's the same as little boys worshipping Batman or Superman.

All I know is the Vikings had some good DNA, some of the finest women I have seen have been Scandinavian.

I was in Iceland this past December, the tour guide said most Icelanders trace their roots back to the Irish/Scottish (Gaelic). The Anglo-Saxons defeated the Vikings and made them convert to Christianity.

I guess it is easier to worship "good looking" Vikings over not so good looking Anglo Saxons.
