I caught that too. It's painfully obvious to me that this guy is getting himself in trouble when he is trying to speak/write Spanish in real life. I think he makes mistakes every single time. Thanks for the spanish advice guys. Keep in mind I started with 0 spanish on my first day in Medellin and I havent taken any classes since. I make mistakes constantly and I say stuff in english to people that I know dont understand a word of english. Dont think it is gonna get me in trouble ever. Saying the wrong thing to the wrong person at the wrong time mainly comes down to your street smarts and being in the wrong place at the wrong time. There's a free smart phone app called Spanishdict, you type in an English verb and it will give you the Spanish equivalent, you then click on the conjugation button and it will list the various tenses. In the case of "dar", although it is an irregular verb, its a very common word and one that is used on a daily basis. For a guy who has spent several months in Colombia to not know that the present tense of "I give" in the first person singular is yo doy and not yo dar is very telling.
