I have seen the changes in Western Europe being around the block long enough.

You have to change your behavioral patterns. With the truck attacks you even need better footwear - the footage I shared about the people jumping into the store for safety - if they had been just a second slower or less attentive then they would be dead.

Those pictures are fucked up. Funny how the media practically trips over itself to publish photos of any non-white victims in their naked, raw, graphic brutality. While statistically true, this is of course a bullshit argument.

Biological agenst are much tougher to reproduce and not nearly as deadly. I studied that aspect of human history extensively and also alternative view of medicine.

All the viruses you had in the past that were decimating the populations tremendously would have zero power today. Maybe some genetic engineering could make them more deadly, but not much. The reason for all those plagues was lack of nutrition, endemic crappy pregnancies, crappy dietary habits even if they had access to it (nobility at one time did not eat anything green, no vegetables, nothing - only meat and bread, sweets and pastries). Then there was the issue of the most basic understanding of hygiene both personal as well as in houses, plumbing, access to clean water etc. If you had implemented current-day knowledge in the Middle Ages in Europe even under their conditions, then you would have instantly created a society living over 70yo and most children surviving (if most had access to food of course). Yeah. I used to think the same until I took a graduate course on the history of biotechnology at Harvard University a decade ago.

Back then, in the wake of 9/11, President Bush was perturbed that there was no way then to track fissile material coming in a harbor on a containerized ship. Much research went into that problem.

Chem weapons are easy to reproduce - but they are very difficult to deploy without either quickly dispersing rendering it ineffective or else killing the delivery agent, as the Tokyo subway terror attack showed many years ago.

A Swedish acquaintance of mine was traveling from Germany to Denmark via train when a handsome brown-skinned stranger sat down next to her.
They chatted for a bit and had a good time, but when they came to the Denmark border the customs officer found that the brown guy didn't have any documents with him.
They asked the Swedish girl if she knew him.
Her answer: "Yes, he's a good friend of mine. He just forgot his passport at home."



Naturally, the customs weren't amused: they barred him from entry and charged her with human trafficking. She is due to appear in a court in Copenhagen sometime this month.
