In my experience with Russian girls:

• the Russian girls who grew up in the Soviet era and saw the collapse of the Soviet Union tend to be grounded and have some manners. Their beauty peaked before Facebook, VKontakte or Instagram, before countless thirsty Turks "liked" their photos on social media and told them how gorgeous they are.
• the Russian girls who grew up in Putin's era with access to the Internet have their heads in the clouds, are addicted to selfies, are addicted to posing for photographs and are addicted to validation on social media. They are narcissistic and self-absorbed, lack self-awareness, and are unintentionally (?) rude. It is hard to enjoy their company, because walking around a beautiful city with them quickly devolves into a photographic session in which you are a mere prop and they are the stars.
  

You could say, "Well, of course the older ones who grew up in Soviet times are grounded! They are old!", but the fact is that they were grounded already when they were 20 years old, which is when I met them. Some of them were quite pretty and did not even know it, for there was no Internet, no social media, it was their first trip abroad and I was one of the first foreigners they met in their lives.

One thing is certain for Russian girls, as soon as they go to United States or London, there is a switch. They become westernized right away and act totally different.

Russian girls in Russia - Belarus - Lithuania - Latvia - Estonia are one thing, and Russian girls in London or in New York are totally different.

Russia is not in a very good place right now. I've been there twice. Wages are shit and the cost of basic goods is steadily increasing. I live in China and there are many Russians here. Just ask them. Most of them are pretty much running away. It sucks there.

Ask a Ukrainian and they hardly want to admit it that they're Ukes.
