The fact is our side is massive, but it's shunned from the institutions. 4chan represents the plebeian masses while 8chan is the elite vanguard of the right. The growth of both of these sites is strong. As long as they remain I'd say the right always has a platform for speech. It just lacks a way to make money.

This is what I'm talking about though, sure we have the
"platforms" but that's not enough. What we need is:

Our own economy. Our own companies, our own industries, our own fast food restaurants, our own starbucks that will never bow to leftist pressures, our own bankers that wont lend to people that cant pay things back, our own products daily products to support etc etc. .

There is a limit to our current platform when we have to worry about funding from companies that don't share our values, so that when they get a little bit of pressure that gets pulled.

We DO have some of these, but no one uses it.

All of these are free speech outlets, all we need now are companies that champion free speech that sell our daily necessities. It seems like almost every week we have to boycott a new company because of their censorship, well eventually we're going to run out of companies and to boycott. Thing is, we really shouldn't NEED to boycott companies. Instead, we should have our OWN companies that value the values of the right, while not shunning customers of ANY ideology, unless an ideology intends to break the law of course.

THEN we need to organize, just like the left has done. We belief our values make a successful nation as well as strong economy, so we should be able to EASILY overpower companies that don't, just through sheer profit gained from making higher quality products and services.

This provides the anti-fragility we need.

We have our own networks. . .but they're on google(youtube) even though we have our own youtube equivalent that no one really uses. Honestly we have enough people that follow many right winged people on youtube that we could ALL move them to Minds and render youtube useless immediately, or at least provide some actual competition. Hell, most people dont even put their vids on BOTH places, so that when the youtube heroes finally get a video de-monitized or taken down entirely it can be game over for them!

Letting your opposition hold this kind of power over you is silly and needs to end.

Im glad that Milo is finally getting his act together on that front, and I hope that others start doing the same.

Milo comes off badly in the press conference. He is blaming the left far too much. This kind of press conference will only encourage them. Meanwhile, it doesn't embolden his own allies.

There are some topics that you just have to avoid nowadays because the media will twist your comments no matter what you say. This was one of them.

His apology brings back memories of when the Dixie Chicks apologized back in 2003 after they said they were embarrassed to be from the state as Bush.

As a digression on art and mass appeal in general, my take on this is that we're long past the concept of a Monoculture with Mass Appeal for All. Netflix - as toxic as the staff is - recognises Niche is now king, hence "Dear White People" and reviving Cult Shows. In a time of Universal Blandness, it is working your own unique niche with your own original voice, rough edges and all, that is more likely to appeal to a loyal, committed audience of people rather than being interchangeable with everyone else. This loyal, committed audience will spend money on your work - the mass market will download it for free.

This is why I end up taking some unfashionable roads with my music: I'm not concerned with what's popular but by following where the art is leading, and 'fashion' is transient anyway: what's currently-trendy (used to) sound really dated even a few years later, until the great stagnation of popular art hit in the late 2000's. What I can be is uniquely-me, and if consumers want more of it, I'm their only source. Contrast with modern culture, where the same 5 production teams are writing for Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rhianna, Madonna, etc.

I've noticed I fell into a working pattern of determining whether a song was 'good' by this rule: could anyone else have written this? Of course, this means a large part of the population is going to respond with "What the fuck is this?" but those people who do get it are going to lovingly-embrace it: "This is exactly what was missing in my life."

They are portrayed as song writers and authors, but they have a team working behind making everything for them, Beyonce does not writes anything and she copies many older dancers and singers, even to go as far as to copy entire idea for a video.

I want to clarify what I meant by saying the invocation of the First Amendment is a "red herring" in this discussion.

Since it might be an antiquated term, a "red herring" is defined as an issue meant to distract from the original issue.

The original issue here is the subversion and inconsistency of Milo's endorsement of sexual relationships between older men and younger boys with conservative principles, developmental psychology, traditional morality, or masculinity.

The First Amendment is irrelevant to this argument because the First Amendment is operating exactly the way it is supposed to. There is no government intervention in this controversy. Nobody has been arrested, banned from a "public forum" as defined by First Amendment law, or even sued.

Milo said sex between younger boys and older men could be beneficial to the boys: Milo exercises his First Amendment rights without government interference.

CPAC cancels Milo's speech before CPAC: CPAC exercises its First Amendment rights without government interference.

Simon and Shuster cancels the publication of Milo's book under its imprint: Simon and Shuster exercises its First Amendment rights without government interference.

There is no First Amendment issue here. Do I have to repeat the truth that the First Amendment protects your right to speak, not the criticism, opprobrium and shunning that your speech might provoke?

On the subject of what QC called "good faith" advocacy to lower the age of consent: what is "good faith?" We know that political advocacy does not always state the true motive for a political change.

Lowering the age of consent is often framed as a "rights" issue. Of course, this is a main talking point of NAMBLA and whatever pedo lobby there is.

There are real issues with age of consent laws, most places in USA and Canada it's 16, in a few crazy places it's 18. But "good faith" can't be presumed in Milo's argument.

Nobody is going to say that "I want the age of consent to be lowered so I can seduce naive and trusting 13 year olds and fuck them."

I think it's just a very bad idea to ever discuss age of consent laws, especially going below 16. The fact is we have Laws that must be applicable to all and it just so happens that age of consent is a thing. So there must be a limit, and there is, and that is that.

I think Milo got more fame and recognition than he deserved for what little originality he brought to the Alt-Right. This was a guy just rebranding red-pill alt-right ideas he found (probably online), and I would say it is a boon to us that he got pulled down.

I've only gone back two pages on this thread, just wanted to say that it's good to have this guy out of circulation. The Right has to be upright, or it's totally useless.

The one good thing out of this fiasco is that with this guy and with George Takei, the ties between homosexual culture and pedophilia have been highlighted.

I agree the big problem is that very few have been willing to step up to the plate the way Milo has.

I find his lifestyle abhorrent and I hope he seeks God to avoid eternal damnation as he seems like he may be able to be saved at some point.

I'm sure Breitbart would have gladly employed an attack dog who wasn't a flaming homosexual time-bomb if there was someone willing and able to do the job.

But at the end of the day degeneracy is degeneracy period, regardless of the politics involved.

A couple of quick points:

-At some point you've got to stop and ask yourself: what is this crusade all about? What is it you're really fighting for? And do you really want to bomb the village in order to save it?

-The left has gone off the cliff. Liberal identity politics might have been cool 20 or 30 years ago when gay men might have been harassed at work or in school, but now they're down to trans bathrooms and 27 genders... They've jumped the shark and are now ripe for a pushback. No need for NAMBLA when you've got Paglia and Thiel on your side.

-As a general rule of thumb, I don't support anyone I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving alone with my 10yr old nephew. I bet Cuomo thinks I'm too uptight.
