The 2017 Grammys
Warpig Adele is butchering one of George Michael's better songs that didn't get much US airplay thanks to the Sony debacle.

Haven't seen too much political BS.

Beyonce went on stage in an outfit that made her chest look like the prosthesis Ricardo Montalban wore in Star Trek 2.

Adele is really butchering this song. That song was all about degenerate fucking and they've got a morbidly obese chav singing it like it's some kind of depressing love ballad. Awful.

Put that bitch on a diet for fucksake.

That duet by Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood didn't sound like country at all. I thought it had a rather 80s feel to it.

RE: The Grammys
It sounds like you are dissatisfied with the Grammy's.

There are some people here at the bar that are going to watch them. Keep in mind they are delayed.

After I'm done typing here I'm gonna tell people this :

I bet that Warpig Adele is gonna butcher one of George Michael's better songs that didn't get much US airplay thanks to the Sony debacle.

Then I'm gonna say:

And you watch Beyonce will go on stage in an outfit that makes her chest look like the prosthesis Ricardo Montalban wore in Star Trek 2.

Then I will also paraphrase your Keith urban stuff.

You made my life a little better. That's why I gave you a reputation point.

Aloha!

RE: The Grammys
mostly it's been a pleasant surprise. I thought Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Gary Clark Jr, a few others were good performances

Hope that the George Michael song wasn't Father Figure (a song about gay pedophilia).

Gay cakes and trans bathrooms: the most important human rights issues of our times, surely.

RE: The Grammys
Adele wouldn't look too bad if she'd waddle her fat ass into Jenny Craig and take the cure.

A Tribe Called Quest spit some political BS. Then again, they really weren't much more than one hit wonders (OK, more like 3 hits) 25 years ago.

Bruno Mars gave a fitting tribute to Prince. Of the current crop of performers out there, this guy understands showmanship unlike any other.

BTW, 7-time Grammy winner Al Jarreau died this morning. That's about the same way they announced it just now.

I only caught five minutes of the Grammy's. But I tuned in right as Adele was singing her tribute to George Michael, and she stopped the band because she (allegedly) was too choked up about his death to continue. Some libtards celebs in the audience gave her the virtue-signalling applause, because it was the politically correct thing to do.

It was very contrived.

RE: The Grammys
Adele had a fat girl virtue signalling fit when she won best album. Told Beyonce that Beyonce's album lifted up all of her black friends. They pulled the plug pretty quick after that. Overall, a rather uneventful show.

RE: The Grammys
I saw a bunch of faggots walking around on stage in their underwear, laughed, and turned it off. Popular music is way beyond my ability to relate to though so it's probably just me. Anyway lets take a look at the genres I care about and get a good laugh as usual shall we?

Rock: David Bowie? Beyonce? A fucking cover that Disturbed performed? Some blues rock shit? Laughable for "rock".

Metal: Megadeath(for the billionth time), Baroness(not metal), Gojira(ok), Korn, Periphery. Well at least it's not mostly the big four like usual but those nominees are fucking jokes to anyone knowledgeable about the genre. Megadeath and Korn are well past their primes, Baroness is not metal, Periphery is djent shit, and Gojira is moving away from their metal sound (still good though).

Rock Song(different than performance?): David Bowie(pop?), Radiohead(yawn), A song written by Metallica members but not actually Metallica, a song written by the underwear faggots, and this band Highly Suspect who sound like they might actually qualify.

Rock Album: Cage the Elephant(meh), fucking Blink-182, Gojira(oh they're rock now?), Panic at the disco(gay), Weezer. I mean I guess nothing new and good has come along besides whatever blink and weezer and panic are putting out these days. Pretty weak sauce.

You can always tell they barely try with these. Also, rock is turning into indie bullshit and I hate it. Haven't heard a rock song in forever that didn't sound like it belonged in the alternative genre. Sure, I tend towards hard rock and metal but dang, there is a serious softening going on in the genre.

RE: The Grammys
The beautiful thing about DVRs is that you can fast forward a lot of stuff. All I cared about was the rock categories most of which didn't get brodcasted.

It would have been great if the sound guy did a better job. I thought the Metallica and Lady Gaga performance was good in spite of the sound issues. Basically I checked out after that.

I was also happy Beyonce didn't win best Rock Performance. With that being said I need to take the time to listen to David Bowie's last album. Megadeth also got a well deserved win in best metal performance.

Did anyone catch the armband that Katy Perry was wearing? One of the more subtle political nods of the night.

Pretty awesome performance by Sturgill Simpson last night. With the intro by Dwight Yoakim!
