On average, the dudes are bigger, taller, and more numerous at a black club over every other venue you can think of. Unless you go to Samoan jams, word to the Rock.
80% of the dance club is not dancing. They're all watching each other like it was a middle school sock hop.
And still the chicks judge you for stepping to em. Lol, the irony of it all
At least Mr. Cool isn't getting judged.
So true. How do you work around that? Even when you approach a group of girls and it "goes well", how do you turn it so that they are choosing you? Just the act of approaching and having all eyes on you...you're in the spotlight. You're the one making the effort to reach out to them.
This one of these mental hurdles guys new to the game come to all the time.
It's the same trap as "you're always paying - no matter what you do" and "Is game just a better way of seeking female approval" (aka is PUA the new AFC)
Fact - Just talking to somebody, a man/a woman/a child/an elder, isn't you "giving away" something. Anyone can reject your attempt to communicate without giving you a chance.
That's the state of play.
But when i'm on the dance floor doing the same ol two step, having a good ass time, sparking other people to do it - the chicks still might not view me as the "decider".
And that's fine.
I think a lot of guys think that a chick suddenly makes this conscious mental shift from buyer to seller when she meets some guy. "Oh, I've got to impress this guy, i'm gonna be on my best behavior" -
That rarely happens.
Even when girls approach guys (it happens), she only sees it as giving HIM an opportunity to sell HER. Like a business putting out an RFP (request for proposals)
So in a visual and literal sense - she is the seller when she approaches - but by her behavior and in her mind - she's still the buyer.
In our minds, if a chick approaches us, we like to assume that it's on right now. Like if a girl says "Excuse me, you're blocking the way to the fire exit and there's a mad man with a gun" - CLEARLY she's trying to come on to us, and as soon as we exit the bloodbath, we can commence a sexual relationship behind the SWAT van.
So being the buyer - isn't really looking for this immediate behavioral change as well as her making the mental shift.
Being the buyer, switching roles, is about you thinking about the situation differently.
She might be the perfect 5'3", double d, brown skin, long hair, heels, sexy accent for me - visually. But having dated carbon copies of that for years - I know that despite the visual perfection for me - that's not enough.
So i'll walk over, get her attention, start a conversation, start to flirt, build a small bit of rapport. If she starts to flirt back, I don't go into Mack Daddy Mode, "it's in the bag".
I push her away. I find fault. I see problems. This wouldn't work out.
In her mind, she's still the buyer. Lemme see what this off brand Ziggy Marley is about.
But by verbally and playfully pushing her away - she's like - hold the fuck up - who does he think I am - that he can speak to me this way - ..."I'll have you know that I have 6 degrees"
^That right there is her trying to validate herself to me. She might still be thinking that she's a buyer, but now we've changed games.
"I can not let this guy be wrong about me, I have to set the record straight"
^There's nothing sexual or romantic about this at all, when you really think about it.
But the act of her trying to prove herself is the driving force behind GAME. It's called "attraction" - but her seeking your validation, her wanting to you to say that she's right - that's the beginning.
In the mind, you only try to prove yourself to people that you respect, that are better than you, that you want to curry favor with -
That's not love.
That's not sexual attraction.
But she'll fuck you when you put her on this path. She'll mistake it for "love"
Maybe this is what love is, she finally has someone that she respects that she can prove herself to?
That's a question for the poets and philosophers.
So basically, on the dance floor, at the bar, - you're approaching, you're making nice, but you're pushing her away. She's trying to suck up to you - because her ego can not handle the fact that you aren't licking the bottom of her shoes, that you aren't automatically put in your place by her just "being". So she's trying to suck up to you, trying to one up you - and because her energy and attention is focused on you, because she's being predictable - you slowly dole out a bit of "give", and the take it back.
It's like a swing. The more you push her, the higher she goes, and the more she comes back. Pushing her is the fun part.
But understanding that a lot of her wanting to have sex - is really about her ego - is a big key to the game. Indeed, wanting to have a 10 on your arm who just happens to be a dead fish in bed - is a lot about your social validation from others, your ego, than anything else. Fucking tons of chicks, can either be sex addiction, or trying to prove your "sexual market value" to yourself. It will stop being about the chick, but about your expressing your power over this area. You finally have it on lock. You can get a fine bitch whenever you want.
No one ever reaches this point. Not Hugh Hefner, not Dan Blizerian, not Prince Yashua.
Today's 10 becomes tomorrow's 7. Again that has to do with reward centers in your brain, and needing more and more to get the same high. That has nothing to do with the game.
Back to the practical aspect
So in a loud dance club environment - it's non-verbally dancing with her, but correcting her, or getting her to follow you, and pulling away when she can't do it right.
This is like a killer app for black guys and non-black women. Even Latinas can't always dance well to non-Latin women.
What a lot of guys do, is dance with a chick face to face for 4 bars, and then turn her around to grind for the rest of the night. It's a mistake. Because you need to communicate with the eyes, and show your disapproval. You need to keep switching shit up, and having her follow you. But at the same time, she has to get internal joy from the dancing, and social validation from having others watch her dance well. This shit is all about her ego.
And then you pull it away.
And she has to get it back.
You push her away, but she won't be denied.
She doesn't even think you're cute - but all the dance club factors are pushing her to PROVE something to you, to them.
And that pattern of behavior - of her trying to prove herself to you -
you having the power to push her away - that's the buyer's mentality.
In a conversation - it's the same way. You interacting, saying funny shit, her wanting to get in on the action, and either you cutting her off, not letting her, or not being impressed. You let her try to win you over.
In the transition from just a one night stand to your main bitch - you're using her ego to your advantage - she has to win you over, she has to work hard -
"Oh a threesome with your sister, man I dunno, I think 30 for 30 is on...can you call your cousin in or something?"
Now to be honest with you
- I don't know if this is "healthy"
- I don't know if this is healthy for you.
- I don't know if this is healthy for her.
What I do know is understanding her behavior is what keeps her engaged.
What I do know is that people love to be engaged. People love to be doing something and not thinking about other problems they may be having.
And I know that internet companies and businesses make billions of dollars off of these behaviors. It's why you have "endless scroll" and pop-up notifications...and why smartphones are a much bigger problem than people let on.

You don't say anything clever. You just hope that they respond and open their mouths.
And if they do bite...how do you turn it into a situation where they're actively giving more of themselves into the conversation? That's the tough part. I don't really have a definitive answer.
You don't need to be clever, you do need to start something.
This is right off the top of my head.
"Do you like to gamble?....If you can guess what I'm drinking, i'll buy you a drink...but if you all get it wrong...."
*then have them take a small sip to confirm or deny*
Just like the "what do I do for a living" game, I illustrated on the newbie board - you can have them analyze you visually, and socially, to figure out what an indubitable brother like yourself would be sipping on.
And you can use that to size them up. "Oh you look like you work out...but you can't say no to sugar...so that's *insert fruity drink*"
^
- issue a challenge
- something that plays off ego and vanity - I HAVE TO BE RIGHT, FUCK THIS GUY, I'M THE BEST
- set up something where you're getting something out of it.
There's a million things to say and do. None need to be particularly clever or insightful - but with a group - you need to engage them all.

"You're the only standing! You must be looking for some cool guys for your friends, right?"
Usually gets a laugh out of the girls that's standing, and the two sitting down smile. Then it's game on from there...
Yeah, you get the basic idea. You just need to refine the "why" these things work. And hammer that. It's not hard to be the most interesting thing happening in someone's day - because 99% of people are boring, scared, unwilling to show themselves to others.

watching like hawks man
I've had dudes shake their heads after seeing me get blown out, and i've also had dudes randomly insert themselves into conversations after it's been going for ten minutes. dudes be blockin these days, and that shit is annoying af.
Basically. But it's part of it. I'm not on point if I don't get blown out occasionally. I'm not trying to have some innocent chat - I'm going for belly laughs and thrown drinks in the face.

The answer is tighter game, but still...shit is demoralizing in the moment. What you say about the ego later on is real man
Learning and applying game is basically getting in touch with your feelings, expressing them, but not letting them control you.
There's a difference between being this super cold Shaft type character - and being detached in a Zen sort of way.
I don't let things bother me/I have no emotions vs I have emotions, but I use them to my advantage.
There was a thread about showing emotion, showing anger/displeasure at a chick - and the conventional wisdom is to "never raise your voice". I'm much more in the Mufasa school. (that XXL post on what to do when your chick acts up is very good, provided you don't follow the same dumb advice you might read on a non-game board)
She wants a fight, i'll give it to her. She wants me to be mad, or whatever, - i'll put on that emotional display - and then take it to a place that she's not in control over. Because chicks do shit to you on the regular, to test your gangsta. She wants excitement, so she riles you up, but she thinks she can get out of it. Show her that she cannot.
This is that same push away dynamic.
WIA Wrote:Guys that go out and truly observe know what I'm talking about. I could be at a spot for two hours, make eye contact withn all of the groups of people around me and never say a word. And they'll see me and never talk.
Everyone is scared, especially the biggest scariest dudes and the hottest chicks.

Right! If I only we had higher SMV's...
That being said, there is a "scene". And some chicks don't go to plebian clubs.
But getting access to the afterparties ends up being about game as well.
If you're that dude, that constantly gets shit live, and you make it a point to connect with DUDES and CHICKS, you'll get social options greater than the club. RSD Luke talks a shit ton about this, and any guy that has ever done promotions or luxury sales knows this. Build a legit network. Go to stuff, have stuff and invite people over.

Yes.

1) jump in so you can learn

4) everyone else sees you spark it, and they get into it, and get into you.
Everyone wants to get picked by the magician
(01-19-2017 10:38 PM)BasketBounce Wrote: This gets people to come to you on the dance floor. But the music is loud, and after a couple of songs, people still want to be entertained. How do you keep it up?
"Let's go cool off by the bar for a bit before round 2"
Me personally, I work the crowd if the party gets live, and then I pull off when I lose steam.
I'll engage or reengage chicks/groups at that point. I have so much mojo at that point, it doesn't really matter if she was a part of it or not. If she was, that's better. If she wasn't, i'm not phased.
When little kids are sad, angry, whatever - a grown up changes his emotional mood and talks to the kid in such a way that the kid changes moods. Doesn't always work, but it works enough that it's a valid parenting strategy.
So you got the party live, some straggler fine chick comes later, and you approach her hyped up. You don't let her negative/boring energy bring you down. You stay in your groove and she OFTEN (though not always) matches your emotional energy. The ice literally melts, even though she doesn't initially want to bothered with your sweaty ass.
(01-19-2017 10:38 PM)BasketBounce Wrote: You can get people to come to you, that's easy. Smile, and do something other than a two step.
But how do you get them out of there afterwards? Dudes flock once they see dancing clown + four or five girls. happened to me so many times, but I didn't really know what to do.
Comte described this above. The pack of hungry wolves descends, like how lions show up after the cheetah manages to run down a gazelle.
In a conversation - a dude shows up - make sure you throw a girl at him - because he won't know what to do and flame out. He won't be nearly as exciting or interesting as you the conductor of the conversation.
The dance floor is different - because her attention span is short. If you can get the group of chicks to learn a new step from you - that boxes those guys out. (chicks follow the guy with the most fun) Realistically, that's hard as shit for me, and most dudes. More often, you've got to do a "Fillmore Slim"
So when Frisco pimp Fillmore Slim first came to Frisco, he brought out 10 chicks to run the streets for him. Within a few hours, local pimps had shown up, and they had taken all his chicks. Then Fillmore called in his A-Team. 20 of his finest came through. It didn't phase him. I think in the story, the original 10 he wanted to get rid of, or didn't matter to him. Some eventually returned to Fillmore because the other dudes didn't have as much game as Slim.
So you get one set of chicks on the floor, and then the wolfpack comes. It doesn't bother you. You grab the chicks on the sidelines and do the same thing again. And there are always chicks on the sidelines. I love to break it down with a big girl, just because of the social proof.
"he's dancing with a fatty? Pass! "
More like "he's getting that chick out of her shell, and he can do that to me as well. "
I like this shit so much, that I ended up making connections during the "let out", that last 5-20 minutes of the club closing and the linger for cabs.
"There's that guy"
And if you're like me, you go to the same set of spots - the memory of you stays in their heads. (all the more reason to dress/look distinctive, more so than fashionable)
Honestly, I'm always surprised when i write this shit down, and realize I haven't read anyone else talk about this shit. This is how it goes down in black/hip hop/latin/mixed clubs. I don't go to 90% Vanilla shit, so maybe that's not how those PUA guys experience the world.
(01-19-2017 10:38 PM)BasketBounce Wrote: I guess it depends on how they react, but man. I've tried the dance floor thing, and it just hasn't gotten me the results that I'd like. I'm saying that I've had 8s open me because of my moves, and I still didn't take them home.
Getting her to open you isn't the clincher. You need to back up your open with more than just that shit.
But taking it back to "How to win friends and influence people" - she opens you about dancing or whatever - you need to spin that back to her. She talks about herself and thinks you're the greatest conversationalist ever.
"You from Denver....that explains everything...you know what they say about girls from Denver"
^That right there can start a banter and back and forth, where she's trying to figure out what the stereotype is, talk about herself, defend herself....
She'll be engaged with you, seeking your approval, and you can get her compliance.
As a learning tool, a player can start with small bits of this type stuff, and gradually get more bold. At the intermediate level, start bold - and then withstand the social barrage that comes after. You challenge hard, she comes back harder, but she can't shake you.
chick - I'm from Hawaii..
you - dead pan - OMG, girls from Hawaii are all sluts (hard)
chick - angry and mortified, starts yelling at you
you - "are you done yet? You're so easy to rile up" *smirk*
A chick that approaches you
- likes what she sees so far
- she needs to investigate
- you need to impress her
But when a chick approaches a player
- he's not actually in the mood to impress, because she's just a chick
- he wants to see what she's about
- so he plays a long a bit, a getting to know you type questions, then he goes left (a direction that she doesn't expect)
- she becomes engaged
- he challenges, and she tries to meet challenge out of her sense of ego,
The challenge gets her off her buyer/seller dynamic, like I was saying above.
