Agreed. If stick around the immediate vicinity of where I live its not a big issue. My rent is pretty low and I have a good amount of money to spend. The problem is that the population is increasing in my area due to immigration and the having of children by immigrants and also the importing of their families from overseas. The area is developing into more of a bedroom community for the larger cities out west. I don't like masses of people whether alien or not. But I'd like to be able to not feel like a foreigner.





The thing is.. Where I am around is getting popular for wealthy immigrants and 2nd generation Canadians because its a relatively inexpensive place to live that is still within a reasonable commute from the big city. Although that's unfortunate I only really deal with hobos and see the occasional 'refugee' walking around in brand new clothes and headphones far and above anything I can afford.

The hobos take the train from the big city and then congregate in the center of town near where they can get food and shelter, drugs, and cigarette butts. They are annoying as hell with their panhandling and begging but they're not inclined to view me as an infidel or kill me. If the hobo population suddenly became a bunch of angry sub standard IQ invaders from Africa and the middle east I'd be in trouble but as of yet that's not much of an issue.

But the thing is the big cities are creeping further and further into the rural and suburban areas. Then comes all the different types of people including migrants and refugees. Eventually more and more people from overseas will move out into towns, buy up all the farmland, buy up the businesses, sell land to developers and continue the process of building new suburbs populated by immigrants mostly from the continent of Asia.

I assume its a similar situation to Paris or Berlin but thankfully where I am and the general area, there hasn't been any real terrorist attacks.

But I digress,
My big point is that I wanted to visit Europe to see Europeans, not to see people I can easily see in Surrey or Toronto.

Lack of money offered certainly helps, because if they offered perks like the UK, Germany or Sweden, then probably most would not bother to go north where it is cold.

Though the best defense is indeed the lack of financial incentives and those will keep Eastern Europe clean as well. Never been to germany but i guess it's quite like being in an open air mental hospital, anyway i think the uk is far worse and more absurd than germany, but just few people realize it. And i think a substancial tax fraud is worse than not carrying id even if you are an illegal.

Brits (by which you probably mean the English) don't hate Germans really, it's just joking around. Look at how much love Jurgen Klopp gets from football fans for example. Yes, we are obsessed with WW2 and the Nazis, but we don't hate Germans mate. In fact, many of us would like it if Germans got back some national pride.
