JoergSprave is fun to watch. He makes ridiculous homemade slingshots of all shapes and sizes.

Careful watching though, it's easy to look up and realize a few hours just went by.

RE: Homemade Weapons
You don't need politics to think weapons are awesome. That's kind of normal for a young male.

A few I've seen:

Special handles for a maglight.

A sword sanded down from a steel bar from Lowe's.

A piece of rebar duct-taped to a piece of wood(nasty piece of work)

A razor blade glued between two old credit/ID cards.

Padlock on a chain/cord/bandana.

Dubious benefits of the military....you meet a lot of sociopaths who love that kind of thing.

Looks like OP is in Canadia. I won't really suggest anything since there is no end to what you can 'weaponize', but I will throw out 2 words: plausible deniability. For example, if you carry a baseball bat in your car, make sure there's a mitt and a ball in there too. The Canadian Criminal Code basically defines any object you use in an offensive manner as a weapon, and if they have a doubt as to your intent regarding anything 'weapon-ish' in your possession, it could make for a long night.

Aren't PUA and MGTOW mutually exclusive? You'd certainly be better off learning MMA than going with anything I made it to in the first vid.

You can go a long way with an "Improvised Munitions Handbook" courtesy of your local army/navy store, depending on how much value you place on your fingers. Plenty of other books along those lines.

Oh, and - Siege on, young Trebber.

RE: Homemade Weapons
One thing that I have noticed is that nations/states with horribly restrictive gun laws also have horribly restrictive self-defense laws, so using any of these "weapons" in a self defense situation could put you in a world of shit. It seems like every few months I hear a story about some British guy facing a long prison sentence for doing something that would be clear cut self defense in most of the US.

RE: Homemade Weapons
^ You just have to make a different kind of risk/reward analysis.

Going to jail is better than being stomped to death in your bedroom. Leaving your bedroom via the window might be better than going to jail.

Beating down the perp and planting a knife in his hands just before the cops get there might be better than having all your stuff stolen.

At the end of the day anyone harping and bitching about self defence laws or a lack of them is only looking to palm off responsibility for their destiny. Law exist. They always have. Navigate them legally or just don't get caught, but it's your ass on the line so make a choice and stick to it.

On a similar note, a "ceremonial" sword with blunt edges would still bust an intruder up pretty badly while passing the sniff test for "lawfully owned and reasonably being within reach when things got ugly". Just the sight of a traditional English longsword would be enough to motivate a lot of intruders to be somewhere else in a hurry.

Actually no, but I frequent a Quebec site for varmint hunting and shooting sports, there are quite a few knowledgeable members on there, and several who are big milsurp/military history buffs.

Unfortunately it is like this in most of Europe. In my home country we had numerous cases where homeowners were convicted and even had to pay the thieves' medical bills when the thief got injured during a break in.

Here are some examples of the absurdity of self defense law and court practice in Croatia:

If someone attacks me with a knife, I am not allowed to defend myself with a firearm because it is considered a disproportionate response. That's how retarded the magistrates are (80% women by the way).

If the attacker is wielding a gun as well, I basically have to wait until he gets the first shot off before firing back in order to be on the safe side.

A cop who shot and killed an armed robber was asked in court by the (female) judge why he didn't shoot the gun out of the robber's hands!

As for gun carry permits, it is easier to get a commercial pilot's licence. And even if you get one, the second anyone reports you of anything to the police, they come and confiscate your weapon "just because".
And you have to keep your gun locked in a safe, separate from the ammo which should be in another safe - good luck in defending a home invasion. Again, if someone reports you violating that, you lose the gun.

On the other hand, however, we are very fortunate that violent crime is very rare here and most homicides occur between people who knew each other (infidelity, alcoholism etc.), at least for now.

RE: Homemade Weapons
A gun is useful as a last second deterrent. Even the sound of a break action shotgun snapping shut and the sight of those two 12 gauge barrels pointing you will be enough to make you re-think how badly you need that cash or jewellery (from the criminal perspective). Robber runs away. Stash gun back in safe. Tell the police you scared them away with harsh language.

But the real value of the gun comes if there's ever a serious breakdown of law and order in the area. In such an event you won't be the least bit concerned about how things will come out in the legal wash up. All you'll care about is keeping your ass alive and the asses of your loved ones alive. And that should be your primary concern in any case. Not abiding to the strict letter of some bullshit laws.
