Where did you rent that place? I saw some units in that building but didn't see anything under $2400 on airbnb when I was there. Looks amazing though.

Looking for places I am not even opening airbnb. Im googling these ad sites with search terms like Cuarto/estudio alquiler, to find stuff for cheap. And ensure it is "amueblado" or amoblado.

Although a lot seem strict about the kind of tenant they will take in. If you can find non cockblockers, it could have deals.

Only problem is you likely need to speak Spanish to call in or you wont get anywhere with it. Lol
Airbnb is good, but if you speak spanish, the extra options are good to have.

How about Belén is it a good part of a city? The homicide rates seems to be lower than Laureles and it's probably cheaper than Poblado. How about nightlife?

Belen has it's good and not-so-good parts. It's definitely cheaper than Poblado though. Lots of budget-conscious expats choose Belen because it's relatively safe and a good value. Nightlife is mostly small neighborhood bars; you'll most likely be taking a taxi to Laureles or Poblado for better nightlife.

Belen would be good for a low-budget daygamer that speaks Spanish well. If you are pulling girls from online usually Laureles and Poblado are more central and they have way more date spots; unless the girl lives in Belen or very close, she's probably not going to want to meet you there unless she just wants to bang. If you're into night game, Poblado is the best bet in my opinion, especially if you don't speak Spanish.

Found a good looking apartment for the price there. Basically everything I have seen in Laureles for or below $500 is total shit. Guess I will be pulling mainly from online and sometimes Clubs, my spanish in zero anyway.

For $500 you should be able to find something decent in Laureles and maybe even in a less desirable area of Poblado (a long walk from Lleras). PM me and I can give you some leads.

You're fucked then. Even the LATAM lounge (dunno about AV) shuts for a few hours during that time. The place is dead.

El Dorado has a baggage check. I checked a suitcase there for 3 or 4 days and it only cost me something like $27. If you're facing the terminal from the street it's all the way over to the left on the first floor.

Some thoughts on Medellin from someone who's been here twice, and is now getting pretty good success now.

1) Spanish is important, and the better Spanish you have the better results you get. Girls here seem to care less about you being a gringo than other places, especially if you're going out at night in Lleras. In general, the more you integrate with the local culture, the better your results. This isn't Thailand or Philippines where showing up and being a foreigner is enough.

The better your spanish the better your results. My results have been very much correlated with my Spanish level. Once you reach an intermediate level it becomes wayyy easier. Sure there are guys like Linux who don't need Spanish, but IMO most of us do.

Once I got my spanish to a good enough level, girls have way more trust and it just becomes 10x easier.

Most of the gringos I see are backpackers with zero style and horrible approach game, and a complete lack of Spanish. They get very little to zero results with local girls.

I've even seen guys who complained about how hard Medellin is and how they didn't get laid here for months. But he was living in a hostel, went out for night game mostly in Llleras, and had a distinctly gringo style of approaching and gaming.

Have your own place, realize that most girls need 1 to 2 dates and ONS are very rare, approach in a relaxed manner instead of some high energy PUA shit, and work on your Spanish. When you do that its pretty easy...

2) On Flakiness-

You need to understand the cultural context behind it... plans are very up in the air. Don't get offended or try to discipline/call out the girl. Would you be pissed off if a girl flakes if a hotter girl is scheduled in at the same time?

This is something that took me a while to learn. Assume flakes. One girl flaked me twice in a row (both times going silent on me).... and then once she was done with her exams came over and fucked me. I honestly wasn't pissed at her flaking because one of the times that she did flake I had double booked with a hotter girl so I was kind of happy.

Essentially have a ton of leads, and assume they're going to flake, and double book if needed. Always great to get work done instead. If a girl decides to cancel last minute, don't fight it too much, and just get some work done.

Also another big thing to understand is that directions and addresses wise the city is fucked, so sometimes its better to meet them in a public place. A lot of times addresses don't show up properly in Google Maps, etc. So double check that.
