I wish I had more time to explain myself more in depth but the only reason I can see them reopening the investigation at this point and time is if they have something real.

It's possible, but would be strange. Usually people roll over on each other for similar crimes. Maybe they had a big fight and he decided to get even. Who knows. They could have just found it in a regular ol warrant or stumbled upon it as a result.

Usually in a tech related crime they take all devices in the house. If your fridge was smart enough, they would take that too. Is it possible they took Huma's laptop(s) etc. and found what they were looking for that way?

It would be career and actual suicide if Comey had nothing.

Releasing a statement like this would have been completely idiotic unless he knows there is something damaging that proves INTENT. Unless he drunk texted this while banging his intern, it doesn't make any sense to release this statement at this time.
