The spin that it is unfair to Hillary to talk about the investigation now is amazing. Hillary's scheme to avoid public records laws and FOIA, and later hide evidence caused this timing.

Rodham even if she gets in could be an even bigger lame duck president than Teleprompter Man. She will never, ever shake off these allegations and will be defending herself from them everyday. She could end up being impeached so a victory on November 8th could very well be a pyrrhic one.

The political left is a den of thieves. I have little doubt that Huma or Wiener deliberately kept a copy of those emails as a failsafe for political protection. Think about it. They wouldn't even be encrypted because that could render them irrelevant as leverage.

Let's imagine this scenario. A patriotic judge and a few good men in the FBI get a sniff on the wind of Wiener's indiscretions. They hatch a plan and get a warrant. They serve it ASAP and bundle off everything in Wiener's house that holds so much as a single kilobyte of information. Then they let Comey know in no uncertain terms that that certain data will go wandering if he pulls another swifty on Clinton's behalf.

Just one of a thousand possibilities. It might be decades before the real stories on this election ever come out, and some will be left to obscurity until the sun burns out.

The list of felonies here is staggering. The FBI must be in turmoil behind closed doors. "The cover-up is worse than the crime, although the crimes are pretty bad." He agrees it looks like it was done to save Obama.

Interesting read. If Hillary actually ends up bring charged--found guilty and after all appeals are exhausted, she will end up at a club fed (white collar) prison. Bernie Madoff is serving 150 years in one for example.

She may be pardoned by Obama. Who knows as stranger things have happened and president trump shows her mercy just to help heal the political divide in the system and country. Who knows??????

I don't think Obama wants to tarnish his legacy the way that Ford tarnished his legacy by pardoning Nixon.

When the news broke yesterday I was flipping back and forth between Fox & CNN. Fox seems to be going for the killshot. CNN is definitely covering it, but in more of "this is probably nothing" type of deal.

If no evidence/remarks by Comey come out in the next 10 days this will not have any effect on the Trump/Hillary supporters. It could definitely sway some independents though. Even if nothing comes out, it makes Hillary look even more guilty (didn't think that was possible).

I'm not holding my breath on anything epic to come out of this, but the potential is there.

By the way, I'm 100% confident Trump is going to win.

I disagree that this won't have any effect on Trump/Hillary supporters.

A lot of voters didn't like either candidate, but were leaning towards one or the other. Some that were "Never Trump" and going to vote for Hillary will likely now either stay home or vote for Stein or Johnson

The MSM seem to actually be covering this, in a way that is like "this news is too big not to cover, we can't just ignore it".

The fact that Huma Abedein was in tears over this, she knows the Weiner email probe probably cost Hillary the election.

I guess what I don't get, is how did some schmuck like Antony Weiner get a hold of emails that would swing a presidential election?
