Only seat I could find was on a couch across from three mildly attractive Chinese bishes chatting in Mandarin. Almost immediately, though I cannot speak Mandarin, I pick up a couple phrases where these bishes were talking about me and giggling like silly ass school girls. From what I could tell, they were making fleeting references on how big and black I was. I looked the main one dead in her face, smiled and said Ni Hao. Lol, the look on theses bishes faces was priceless. I swear they left within 2 minutes.
Lesson learned, I think I want to learn Mandarin. Is it possible without total cultural and linguistic submersion?

Get pimsleur Mandarin (pm me if you want a copy). Listen to that for a while as a primer then,
Sign up for italki: https://www.italki.com/home and start adding Chinese language partners interested in learning English. From there you can set up free language exchange skype sessions with them or just pay for a tutor (italki has reasonable rates). I've been studying Japanese for about 9 months Skyping with Japanese people about 4-5 times a week, and although I'm nowhere near fluent I'm quite pleased with my progress. I'm planning on testing it out when I go to Japan next May.

With various language exchange platforms, the internet, and audiobook, It's easier to learn a language than ever before in history.

I'm messaging some Japanese chick and she mentions she's been listening to some hip-hop lately. I ask her does she have a favorite artist and she says she likes Eminem:

Eminems one of the greatest ever, like 6 grammys for album of the years, hes won the most out of anybody. I honestly prefer eminems first album infinite which not many people know about. but you gotta tell that japanese girl to get on the classics, reasonable doubt, illmatic ect.

Hilarious post. But in reality, there are a lot worse answers than Em.

And it's a great opportunity to mold her: "Oh, you like Em, you should try..." If you can get her to listen to some stuff, she'll get to a point where whenever she listens to hip-hop she'll think of you.

I feel like my game is intermediate, has been for a while. A lot better than most guys, but like all men, I want more. What do you heavy hitting vets define as advanced game compared to intermediate game. As my day game skills return from slumber and my rusted over approach anxiety dwindles down i'm seeing it easier now to capitalize on finally advancing my game.

-CD

Zero to hero?

The intermediate player has his personal process down from meet to lay. He has mastered the basics.

In the intermediate stage, he wants to broaden his skill set.

Night game, day game, online, social circle, hired guns, travel game, secret society

Hotter chicks, objective 10's and subjective 10's.

Roster management, LTRs that work for him

Super fast pulls, long game, threesomes planned and unplanned,

So in my mind, before you get to the final boss, *laughing*,

There are two things I have in mind

Mastery of your particular social world aka presidential game. Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama are all said to have this one on one magnetism that makes whoever they're talking to feel like the only person in the room. Men and women alike. Instead of going after people and charming them, you shine and people turn in your direction.

The second part is what I would call world game. Same principal, but with girls only, but you make chicks feel like that despite not knowing the language or culture.

With these last two, you can see shades of them throughout your own game at different times.

Lemme know if you want more.

WIA

We always want more from you WIA. *pause*

I'm thinking to myself, it's easier to pull a hot white girl than it is to pull one of these Halle Berry looking chicks.

WIA

I love the super-bad ones. More often than not, I've found they are more receptive after getting past the initial guard. You'd be surprised how many bad (bad meaning fine as hell) chicks don't get approached during the day because cats think she's probably unapproachable. I've found directness works best with these types.
If she has hood-rat attributes (I.e., crazy ass unprofessional looking nails, visible tattoos, wigs-n-weaves, etc), if I'm dressed down I hit her with the extremely professional tone. Alternatively, If I'm dressed up, I hit the professional looking chicks with loosened vernacular and a bit more swag. Essentially, when you surmount their 1 second summation and expectation of you, they drop their guard and become intrigued.

Not doubting Em's skills or accomplishments, but Eminem being the first thing out your mouth when you say you like hip-hop is akin to someone saying they like jazz and their favorite musician is Kenny G.

In the end, I just recommended Outkast to her. Outkast to me, has a good blend of commercial appeal lyricism and artistry. People unfamiliar with the genre should be able to appreciate them.

What's your opinion on Alan Currie and his "Mode One" book/philosophy?

I haven't read his book yet, but I have it bookmarked. I plan on buying it this weekend. I've been reading some of the reviews and it looks like some interesting stuff...

(I'm assuming you've read some of his stuff or at least heard of him.)

I'm surprised. I'm reading his other book, Upfront and Straightforward, and I'm not really feeling his Mode One philosophy. In theory it makes sense, but... there's just a part of me that disagrees. Seems like the antithesis of good game.

What do you agree/disagree with him on?

" Mode Two men are honest with women
*only* when they鈥檙e confident that it will provoke a positive, enthusiastic response from women."

He is feeling one part of the elephant when it comes to game. It's easy to understand and speaks to the common man's experience.

What I don't like is the jargon, mode 1-4. As a tool, jargon should help understanding, not hinder it.

Not sure where he is on the red pill/blue pill dichotomy.

Read it from cover to cover yesterday

Basically helped press the reset button for me mentally. Nothing particularly groundbreaking in the way of techniques but a very solid top shelf read overall. For a newbie, this text contains some come-to-Jesus moments.

Sometimes when you get too much in your head, it's necessary to read some shit like this to take you back to the essence

I'm really enjoying it so far. I'm at the stage in my life where I loathe wasting my time and discovering just how much easier life is by being direct.

WestIndianArchie 路 2016-10-21 12:18:00 路 #3369
@Huey and everyone else reading

Regarding Currie, I'll have to think about how what he says works in a practical sense.

My takeaway so far is that a man needs to be honest with HIMSELF about what he wants. I need to hammer that home in more of my posts.

In terms of practical.game, you can make it open and honest that you're trying to bang without being literal and vulgar about it.

In his world, there are only two kinds of guys, guys who try to nice their way into the pussy, and guys that let a chick know what's up. Most guys have today delusion. Option 2 is the better of those, but those aren't the only two options.

That's what guys with game understand. There are lots of ways to get bangs.

A lot of guys on game boards still view the world in binary terms, hence direct versus indirect, screen is all you do, you can't convert.

I've run out of ways on how to expand the next man's vision. The stuff i really want to discuss requires cats to have basically accepted the truth instead of putzing around with definitions and denying reality.

Funny story guys... I'm talking to a girl I matched with on Tinder and we planned on meeting up today. I actually had to pick her up in like 20 minutes for her to come spend the night. Well, after snapchattin with her yesterday, I was starting to wonder if she passed the boner test cause she looked different in her snaps. I screenshot a picture of her to my friend to ask if it's worth my time and he said he needed more details and pics. So I get another pic and write about my concerns...but I made a mistake and sent all the shit to the girl. She texted me what!? and really....lol. I didn't know what to do so I just blocked her number. I think I could've still scooped her up but I'm just gonna take a loss on this one.

I read Mode One several years ago. It makes an interesting case for being firmly on the direct side of the direct-indirect spectrum.

Unfortunately, as other posters have mentioned, it's light on technique. It's certainly not like Roosh's Bang or Day Bang, where he gives you concrete actions to take. Most will read Mode One and think, "So ... I just go up to a girl and blurt out that she has a nice ___?"

This video, that the author later made, explains his technique. In short, he gets within a three foot radius of them, classifies their body language reaction as negative, neutral, or positive, and adjusts his approach from there. Only on a positive reaction - her leaning in, moving closer to him, for example - does he then whisper what he's really thinking into their ears. Based on his book, my guess is he passes on the neutral and negative reactions, but there might be opportunities in the neutrals he or others might go after. Pretty sure he goes less direct in the neutral cases, if he does at all, though this video doesn't touch those.

I'm not a fan of his technique - but the mental insights are what's useful.
