It's amazing how fast and far that lie spread. Even one of my aunts believed it. Even I thought he may have been mocking a disabled reporter, but then I found it it was a usual routine Trump has used to mock skittish people dozens of times.

I think she's doing a Michelle Obama impression.

Which is probably the current risk to trump. If Hillary dies or drops out and the DNC electoral college uses Michelle Obama as a replacement candidate she would be able to summon "angry black woman" energy to go up against trump. She would get elected, then Obama would have his 3rd term. Game, set match.

Where does this meme come from that any replacement for Shillary (Biden, Michelle, Kerry, ...) would simply beat Trump?

The only replacement candidate that could win against Trump is Bernie, because if the Democratic establishment picks any other candidate than him a significant part of his supporters are simply going to sit out the election and that would most likely mean a Trump victory.

Luckily for us, Bernie is not an insider so I don't think there's a big chance that they would pick him if Shillary dies.

Isn't it basically too late to change the ballots by now? Late September was considered the latest they could try to pull something like that, if I recall correctly. Even if Hillary died on the stage at the debate they wouldn't get anything in motion before Oct 1 or so.

Every day Hillary is still running, it becomes less likely they even could replace her smoothly if they had to. Half the ballots wouldn't have the new person on them, the vote would split on the left, and Mr. Trump would win by a huge margin.
