I'm moving to Canada for 1-2 years. Need to stay on the East Coast because of the time zone. I was set for Toronto at first but then read all the negative stuff about it ("The Mecca of Feminism"?). So, now thinking of maybe going to Montreal instead.

As I see it, the only negative thing about Toronto is the women. What Montreal has is a bunch of French speakers, socialists, "Europeans" and all that comes with it. Would I have to be spoken to in French on a daily basis? And if I can't speak French, I won't ever become a part of society?

Here's the thing: I don't date much. I almost only do escorts. Rest of the time I work. But I don't want to be met with hostility from women every time I leave my apartment. I don't want to see a bunch of beta males on a daily basis, that stuff messes with my head.

So, what it really comes down to is... is the feminism so bad in Toronto that it justifies moving to a non-English speaking city? Or is Montreal OK even for an English speaker?

UK is better than Canada, simply for the fact you have cheap flights to nice destinations in Europe.

The main question is how are you making money?

I am sure that Québec offer the lowest quality of life in Canada. But my question is Europe or Canada (including Québec) is better to save money but working.

Contrary to the picture painted, feminist women aren't out and about being hostile to men in Toronto. It could be argued that Quebec has the highest quality of life in Canada, trust me, there are much worse places. Canadian cities are mediocre overall, especially if you're from somewhere interesting, its one of the reasons why we have a difficult time retaining quality immigrants. In my opinion, Canada is all about the great outdoors and nature activities which are world class here.

Yes it is but I've never had it there, I had it in BC which is also government controlled and it was actually more expensive than in Alberta where its private. I'm not sure about the rates in Quebec but I know many things are cheaper there such as rent, groceries, alcohol (cheapest beer in Canada!), public day care, etc. However, wages are low and taxes are high so there's a trade off.

I am moving for business reasons. I could live in the States too, but for various reasons it's better for me to stay in Canada for the time being.

Canada is cheaper than most of UK, especially London. For $3000/month you'll get a new 2br in a skyscraper in central Toronto, but barely a parking space in central London.

I am an entrepreneur. The cost of living isn't too much of a factor for me, although you never say "no" to saving some money. But after having looked at apartments in both places, for the quality I'm looking at, the rent is about the same (maybe a 10-20% difference at most). But Toronto is way cheaper than I thought anyway.

Thanks, all of those are helpful. I've read most of them. It's just that they mostly talk about for travelling. Spending a weekend somewhere is different from living there. I don't just go to a place for pickup, I'm after a balanced life.

Montreal has great quality of life, it always ranks in the top 15 or 20 in these Monocle or other ratings, for what it's worth anyway.

Not that I want to discuss escorts here because it's prohibited, but since you ask about it, Montreal is the best place in the world for escorts quality price, it has been this way since prostitutes came off the boat by thousand in the 1600's.

Try the market and you will quickly understand.

Toronto is like Chicago, a great lake city, very multicultural, but indian, paki and black multicultural, nice skyline, sports city, great international connections with the airport.

Montreal would be more like a blend of Melbourne, Barcelona and Amsterdam, with bad weather.

Toronto also has bad weather, but I'd say it's still around 25% better than Montreal in the winter, less cold, less snow, shorter winter slightly.

Mtl is slightly hotter in the summer.

It's in the 4 millions people range, Toronto is larger.

I don't like Toronto because I don't like the vibe there, but I respect the city and understand why some people may like it better, transit seems good, the neighborhoods are diverse and lovely for many and jobs pay better.

As for the french, half the island on the western part speaks English. All young quebeckers speak English. You will have NO problem with English.

It's more to find a job.

I love Montreal and would only chose a few cities over it.

It's still a MECCA for game, if it wasn't like it was before yes, but that's true everywhere in the western hemisphere.

Toronto gets far too much attention on this board.

No single man should ever move here if they have the option.

Montreal is a league apart and superior.

I don't care about the transit/rent/ etc.

The city has a dead vibe (period) and will kill your soul.

I live here (burbs) and make it work, I am looking at taking longer vacations to keep my sanity.

I'm not gonna go into details because this ain't a p4p thread, but when I was in Toronto for studying on campus (worst decision I made in my life, the "First World Problemz" was insane), I got more results gaming pros than having a pleasant interaction with the half-naked female college students who look at me as if I'm a lowlife who is driving down their city's property values and housing market.

Regarding Montreal, I was almost broke when I stayed there last year, but I dressed and presented myself well, and I noticed the huge difference when Francophone chicks were smiling at me, and giving that positive body language to me. It was indeed an entirely different wavelength than in Toronto where if I was looking both ways to cross the street in a gentrified residential area, a chick from the distance would glare at me as if I tried to rape her, her mother and her grandmother.

Some of the best part in my approximately 4 years staying in Canada was that nice big booty Parisian chick who went to Montreal for a short while before moving to Quebec City, Quebec.

HOWEVER, what stopped me from sealing the deal was that the Parisian chick was consuming some alcohol in a club, but not drunk, and the fear I was conditioned from the man-hating universities in Toronto completely stopped me from going further with her (because I didn't want to be falsely accused of a crime by any Ontario spies who were frequenting that club), so I left her to some American guy, entertained him and her with some French phrases to soothe the vibes, and left them to their business because the American guy just gotta go back to the States while I was left in fear of some Toronto woman behind the scenes spying on me and determining if I would "take advantage" of a Parisian chick who only drank one shot of tequila. The Happy Ending (no pun intended) was that when I left the club, I got a chick to twerk pon di cocky (dry sex) on the sidewalk for a short while, and the other chicks nearby were excited at that, but it was getting late that Saturday night in Montreal, so we had to go home. I don't understand. What other types of game can a newbie do if he is prohibited from doing daygame, night game and social circle game because that might get the female inhabitants of Toronto angry? Online game in the Toronto area is where a landwhale receives thousands of private messages on those online dating Apps. It's not an exaggeration.

For that reason alone, OP should try Montreal for game. I had a very bad experience with these hateful, spiteful and paranoid women in Toronto, but Montreal women, Parisian women and Polish women made me realize that Toronto just isn't that great anymore like it was from the 1970s to 2009 before the militant campus activism which swept across the campus political movement.

I will make a Quick comparison between my experience in France, Québec , Ontario ( I studyied and worked in France and Québec)

I myselef thought that in Canada you will save more money than France, but it seems like it is false (at least for Québec).

France(Paris specially) : finding jobs is harder than Canada , but once you find it ,you are sure to not get fired, the law protect you.
Universities are free
Companies must pay you the lunch(usually they give Restaurant tikets and you are free to do you what you want with it),so you save a lot of money.
Companies pay you half of transport fees.
Two months of vacations in the year( many day off ,RTT...)
Salary are ok, specially if they are in Euro.
Rent is expensive.

Good weather

Québec (Montréal specially) : Finding jobs is not difficult if you speaks french,but the law dont protect you as it is in France ,but still less opportunities than Ontario.
Salary are low
Taxes very high
Rent is cheap but the quality is very bad (usually old)
Universities are expensive for foreigns.
Very bad weather.
-2-3 weeks vacations days in average.

Ontario(Toronto specailly)
-Finding jobs is not difficult ,but the law dont protect you as it is in France
-Salary are High comparing to Québec
-Taxes are less
-Rent is expensive but quality is good

For people , i found people in Canada specially anglophone more freindly than French from France people ( that is a good reason to stay in Canada)

I won't get too into it because it's been answered 1000 times on this forum, but just note that feminism in Toronto isn't even remotely as bad as what people make it out to be. It's sensationalism at its finest.

I've encountered maybe one hard core feminist in Toronto - and this was going out hardcore in my younger years (was into that RSD crap). In all likelihood you'll never, or at least rarely encounter one. Don't even factor feminists into your calculation of which city to visit.

There are more opportunities in Toronto, but it's also more expensive. Transit can be effective on a good day, but 90% of the time it's a hunk of crap, and there are too many hobos for my liking. I spend a lot of time in Muskoka during the summer, so I personally would factor that in..If I needed time away from the city, rent a cabin in Muskoka, head up to the cottage...

I've only spent a couple of weeks at a time in Montreal, but I don't really like French people (even though I'm fluent in it), so for that reason alone I'd pick Toronto...

Don't get me wrong, I hate Toronto. But out of those two, it's Toronto.

OP, I would strongly suggest moving to Montreal. The intangibles are there. As money is not an issue, it's a no brainer. All around quality of life is better, the Quebecois people and lifestyle is more balanced. Toronto is only suitable if you are married or have no interest in lizards. Even if you have no interest in lizards, there is still a sick energy about the city. I have met no one who has moved there from a non bum fcuk country and had pluses to say. Do Montreal. If you don't like it, you can always move to Ottawa or something. Take my word, bro.
