So here it is boys, Gawker has finally ceased operations and their shitposting came to an end. I felt that it deserved it's own thread since they have targeted the "manosphere" and certain RVFers as well.

It's funny that cuck Nick Denton even mentions the red pill on his last post.

Although, I am a bit sad that Gawker is gone. I used to be a 24/7 Gawker reader just as I joined RVF, it provided a continuous stream of content to help me go through my day while jobless and fresh out of college. Hamilton Nolan's shit posts about inequality and how the elites should perish were irritating me....then, I found RVF while trying to find another blog (Maverick Traveler).

Irritated at Shitlord Nolan's post, mainly him being a coddled yuppie writing about poverty or trying to protect minorities while never experienced it, I started to read Fisto's SEA/DR thread and the other things that were poppin' at the time while reading Gawker less by the day. RVF was so full of positivity that it was able to keep me going through the day.

In other words, Gawker led me to the red pill. And for that, I am thankful to Gawker for leading me a path to better myself.

Either way, let's rejoice that the Gawker Media Castle has imploded.

This is actually a dupe of the "Gawker Files for Bankruptcy" thread, which charted the effects of the Hogan lawsuit from the start.

I'd also hold off on the celebrating. I see a downside. SJW writers tend to be like rats or crickets. Just when you think you've gotten rid of them all, they start turning up in unexpected places.

I've noticed a few Gawker-ish reporters have recently turned up on mainstream news sites and are doing the round of CNN talk shows. I won't name names because they don't deserve the free publicity. But upon hearing/reading these people, my first though was that I wish they'd been relegated to Gawker instead of being courted by the bigtime press.

The problem with media is the incestuous New York culture that's spawned it. That's what's breeding the rats, so to speak. You can get rid of Gawker, but you also have the Observer, Esquire, Rolling Stone, Cosmo, the Daily Beast, and countless other places. And that's just print. There's also TV and the Web.

The best thing about this trial is that it's going to change the parameters of what these news groups can do to damage people's reputations. But it seems to me that the mainstream media's getting wind of Gawker's demise has only strengthened their resolve to be as partisan as possible by bringing Gawker types into their ranks.

That's not what happened. Gawker violated the privacy of Hulk Hogan and that lead to the trial, the loss at the trial, and the resulting bankruptcy.

I've admired Peter Thiel for a long time.

His book Zero-To-One changed how I thought about starting my own business.

I love his idea of top-hustling kids starting businesses right out of high school

He's a part of that PayPal clan that includes Elon Musk (who isn't a red pill role model except in business) and been a part of Y-Combinator for a year or so too.

This is a beautiful layer of icing on the cake of his life.
