Personally, I think it's a fucking disgrace that a 95 year-old man (who was just a low-level guard taking orders) is getting jail time for something that happen 70+ years ago.

What's next? Are they going to start throwing nazi kids in jail for familial association?

Newer members ought to make doubly sure they're not even close to duping threads. Starting threads is best left 'till after you've been around for a month or so.

Give 'em time... unfortunately they are quickly running out of Nazis. Which is why the extreme left is really pushing hard now to hunt down and punish anyone who is still alive. Make no mistake - this is not about those poor schmucks - it is all about intimidation. Being called a Nazi in Germany is tantamount to social/political/professional assassination.

The post-1950s Nuremburg Trials are still in effect. However, in Canada, a woman can get away with murdering infant children by using poor defenses such as "post-partum depression", while a former Nazi soldier who most likely was taking orders under a national policy of Germany at that time is treated like scum.

The point is, the Nazi soldier was only operating under a national policy which is political in nature, but there are cases of women in Canada with their feminazi psychoses murdering infant children, and yet, those women are treated like snowflakes and acquitted for their crimes because they were women with "post-partum depression".

Oh yes by the way, in Canada and Germany, debating on certain issues such as the Holocaust is a criminal offense, but also in Canada, debating against feminists is a criminal offence.

It is stupid. Whether the man was "just following orders" or actually relished everything he did as a Nazi, he's literally at the end of his life. All this is doing is pushing an agenda. It's so obvious.

I'm half expecting them to start prosecuting their children, because, you know, their children should have done something to stop their fathers from doing what they were doing.

But I think the bystanders will come first. You know, you happened to pass by Auschwitz in September of 1944, so therefore you're guilty of every crime that occurred there.

AFAIK, they weren't fugitives, meaning they could have tried these people in the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, but didn't.

What surprises me is that they didn't hand out the death penalty.

It's a totally different man, different case, different year.

I love the forum etiquette lessons, but isn't the injustice of a 95 year old man being thrown in jail for no wrong-doing...a more significant issue?

What a joke. Is there no such thing as a statue of limitations in Germany? The man will celebrate his 100th birthday in prison. What is this supposed to accomplish?

It is almost like someone is trying to radicalize the Germans.

What's even more interesting is how many of these Nazis were deported to Israel to be tried there...John Demjanjuk for instance. (In his case, there was so little evidence they actually sent him back to the U.S. But he then got deported again to Germany LOL!)

They didn't commit any crimes against the state of Israel. It didn't even exist then!

Boy, if there's one group of people you don't piss off it's the j*ws...

There is not too many to work with Allies having killed off well over a million German men after the war ended, between 1945 and 1949, and the Soviets several million more. No trials there...

The Allies had set up a network of about 50 concentration camps in Germany and in border areas in France where men starved to death in a matter of weeks. Unlike in Auschwitz, the Germans campers did not have any soccer fields, swimming pools, libraries, whorehouses or clubhouses in their camps. In fact they didn't even have any tents, they were just left to wither away on open fields with no sanitation and not much to eat.
