Speaking of hobbies, I have been thinking of this for a while. Lets say you were a world class Curling player. Like you ve been to the olympics for your country. Could you leverage your dedication and skill in one of the least watched and entertaining sports into poon? For example, if you were an olympian sprinter, girls would be attracted to your dedication and status. But a gold medalist curler? Thoughts?

You leverage off brand hobbies by being passionate. The passion is the sub communication.

The real key is that when she tests you, you have something ready for her. And of course you can never be butt hurt about it.

So during the test, you get to hit other switches that increase attraction.

I think game 101 is about passing tests, but the next level is getting her to test you so that you can hit her where she doesn't expect it.

No-one has mentioned being a foodie yet?

Forget aeromodelling and toy trains; Something about the lifestyle of dining at boutique eateries and putting up photos of them all over social media strikes me as inherently beta.

The way the food photos are taken and the style of writing that you see in the captions definitely smacks of a feminine touch.

Maybe it's prejudice of mine in thinking that taking pics of your food is one of the most gauche behaviours you can exhibit at a table?

Does anyone really give a shit whether women 'approve' of their hobbies? In reality, women don't like any hobbies. They only like the potential boost to 'THEIR' status, that 'YOUR' hobby provides... If there was no NBA, and televised games, basketball would be an anti-poon hobby.

Unless your hobby provides some form of status, or in the average man's case "some hope of future status", then it will have zero impact on women. In that regard: Do the hobbies that you enjoy, rather than wasting time on other hobbies that will still create a negligible difference on pussy.

I think the idea of being a critic of any sort (but especially being a pretentious fag who takes pictures of food) is effeminate. Men create, women critique. I would agree most foodie guys (bloggers, ect) are probably all SWPL male feminists.

I'm surprised no one said record collecting. Record collectors are generally pretty geekish and the whole scene tends to put women off. The record conventions I've gone to over the years have been almost exclusively all-male. Those characters in "High Fidelity" were pretty much drawn from real life.

Maybe this is changing? Is the resurgence of vinyl making record collecting suddenly cool? Judging from the monthly record show I go to I'd answer "no," but who knows what's happening at colleges or in other countries.

First off, I'm a big board gamer. I kicked ass and took names at chess in high school at state contests, but now I like german strategy board games. I enjoy some war games as well.

Second, most women don't have any hobbies. They are like water and most don't have any intelligent people to tell them what to like, so they like stupid or obvious things like food, ie, they are a "foodie". Who the fuck doesn't like food? Women have so few interesting things in their lives they have to say they like food? Im a "nappie". I like naps. I'm a "waterie". I enjoy liquids. Idiots.

Third, for years I tried to get women into hobbies and it didn't work. My problem was overestimating most of the women I was around.

I do what I want and don't worry about it. Ive met so many women who actively try to break men who work to better themselves, telling men not to exercise or run or rock climb, because it didn't work well for their schedule, etc. She is along for the ride. I make my plans and when Im free, after I play board games and exercise, she can come over and be nice. Otherwise, GTFO.

If you have the video of yourself with the stoic, accomplished face with your hand over your heart as your national anthem plays as you receive your medal, that's gonna get a girl going. Girls would love to say they're with an Olympic gold medalist regardless of the sport because the gold medal is the pinnacle of most sports (as in, no one cares about how many wins Michael phelps has outside of all those golds).


And don't badmouth curling. It's an awesome game.

A female coworker of mine called me a foodie at work the other day because I know a lot of good places to eat. I told her I'm not a foodie because I never photograph my food, and I never write reviews - I just like to eat out.

A lot of foodie type women are not fat. Look at the reviewers on yelp - tons of slim east Asian women. My Korean-American coworker has over 10k followers on Instagram and all she does is take photos of food. Looks wise, she's a 5 so a hot woman would probably get a shitload more followers.

I am into history, art collecting, geology and paleontology. I met a girl online from EE that liked all of this shit too. Even belong to an ecology club that went on trips to swamps for fun. She would take pictures of old cemataries and camp in bombed out, old castles.

But whenever she would become interested in a guy, she would try to push them away.

And when she started to like me, she really tried to shit test me to get me to go away.

She wanted a guy to put up with all of her crap, to see if they would not actually reject her.

The former old me was almost going to do it. But deep down, myself respect could not do it. Compromise is a two way street.

^ I was actually hoping someone would make the case for it. It's a mixed bag from what I've observed. If you're a guy with game you could probably clean up if you're in the right dancing scene, however lots of thirsty guys take up the hobby as well.

Bumping this up since another member was talking to me about it.

I guess I don't totally understand the 'logic' behind all the hobby stereotypes.

I mean some are kind of no-brainers, like computer programming vs... skydiving since programming is boring or obscure to the majority of people.

Though I don't see why some hobbies like Civil War re-enacting are considered 'anti-poon' - reenacting combat sounds like a pretty manly hobby. Yet fantasy football is considered "manly" despite it basically just being a hobby that boils down to comparing stats and making decisions based on stats, not far different from an MMORPG.

Maybe the "nerdy" stereotype is the association with being obsessed with obscure academic subjects or trivia like "history" which the average person doesn't know much about.

Hence why I do think it's kind of subjective, since a lot of it seems to depend on what stuff happens to be well known with the masses versus what stuff is obscure; for example fantasy fiction is often associated with "geekiness", yet shows like Game of Thrones and movies like LOTR were massively popular. So a person who saw LOTR on the big screen wouldn't be thought of as a nerd (though a guy who was obsessed with Tolkien way before it ever made it to the big screen might have been thought of as a nerd at that time).

Obviously there's some activities shooting guns, riding motorcycles, lifting, etc which are "cooler" than gaming, playing chess, etc. Quite honestly though, if your into something, your good at it, your passionate about it, and your not "afraid" of what others think of it I think 9 times out of 10 people respect that.

A while back I hooked up with a chick off CL. Super hot chic, super cool chick, I'd say a solid 8.5, while watching a movie and chatting come to learn she's like a for real chess master ie one of the top ranked in the country, has her own business where schools pay her to teach chess to kids, etc. Looking at this chick you'd never guess she was a chess player. All different people are into all types of things you never know.

Also, really at the end of the day who gets to decide what's a cool activity and what's not or what activities get chicks. I notice ballroom dancing was listed as a lame activity but honestly it's probably one of the better activities to pull chicks. I've taken salsa classes before and though salsa may be a bit "cooler" than ballroom, chicks like to dance, dig a guy who can dance, etc.
