Having used Tinder in Manila, I guarantee you a lot of those fake profiles are being created here, definitely a bot profile factory.
Read this and its an interesting hustle:

Quote:Since his business began, Braggs has expanded into Yahoo, Gmail, and Twitter PVAs, and his customers have used the fake accounts in all sorts of scams: On the dating site Tinder, for example, Braggs said he believes seductive women solicited male users for pay-to-access porn sites. His biggest order, he told me, was for Chinese hackers trying to fleece the digital payment exchange Stellar; he hired every freelance worker he could find, but he was still only able to fulfill a small portion of it.
You can't really stop it as they are basically buying en masse prepaid sim cards from Globe / SMART.
Quote:If Facebook comes to suspect that Ashley Nivens is not, in fact, a real person, and suspends her account, Braggs will have Casipong unearth the appropriate SIM card from the tens of thousands of cards organized and stacked around Braggs’s shop, insert it into a phone, and answer Facebook’s text message: Yes, she is a human. “Basically,” Braggs said when we met last September, “there’s nothing Facebook can do to stop me.” Facebook has shut down his personal account, but Braggs laughs it off: “Why would I need one Facebook account when I’ve got thousands?” The main limiting factor for his business is a somewhat unpredictable supply of SIM cards.
Anything you can do after your account is basically toast after mass swiping + constant GPS Spoofs?
Deleting and remaking doesnt really fix anything
Weird, possible tech problem on Tinder ?
I'll match and either send an opener or the match will send a message (usually just "Hi"). Some dialogue, then I send another message.
Usually when I send a message, in the individual/one-on-one screen, it will show my message as sent. Then when I return to the overview screen (where it shows all your matches), there's a small curled arrow denoting that I sent the message, with a short preview of what I wrote.
There's been a few times lately that when I go to the overview screen showing all my matches, my message 'preview' doesn't show up. The overview screen still shows as though she sent a message and I haven't responded.
The first couple times, I assumed it was a bot and I unmatched. Last week I matched and, based on her profile pics and location as well as opening dialogue, figured her for being real. I sent a third message, and ran into the same problem above. It didn't show as sent, and the match didn't respond (I'm assuming based on my perceived not responding).
Same thing happened today. This match has a pic of her standing in front of an unmistakable landmark in my city. So right now I'm assuming she's legitimate. We matched while I wasn't using the app, so I got a match notification. A couple minutes later she opens up with "Hi". I respond, but my message doesn't show in the overview screen. That was about an hour ago.
I don't know if this is some sort of tech glitch, or if the matches have some way of blocking messages (?) but not unmatching (??).
Anybody else experiencing this ?

I've come across a few girls that respond back to whatever but it's a few words or a small sentence at the most i.e. they don't add to the conversation. How do you guys keep leading the conversation in these instances? Do you just ask her out flat? Or try probing a bit more?
I don't say much myself, so it feels like there isn't any kind of spark or some chemistry.

Yes I noticed this yesterday but I eventually got a reply.
Anyone ever double dip on accounts? Ha, I've now gone between two (I imagine that someone could tell if paying close attention) and they are different ages ... but switching back and forth gives you a week's matches at a time. Just make sure you get a number and delete quicky so they can't compare
I'm sad I didn't realize this a long time ago.
Is that flame app still available or just for apple ios? I'd love to have that feature of recognizing who has already liked you. How does it infiltrate that? Was it a Tinder defector? How would they know who likes you?

I've deleted my profile a couple of times. Usually, when I returned, I'd get a flurry of matches when i returned, as if I'd returned to the top of the stack for a short bit.
Now I get zilch. I make sure to delete the app from FB acct too. Any ideas what's up?
Been getting a ton of sex cam spam lately on Tinder. Very few real matches. I'm strongly consider just going back to social circle game to find a girl.

Your account might be flagged. If so, it's linked to your phone number not your facebook account. I have no idea how to do it but i'd get a new phone number and potentially new burner facebook and start over. I believe this is how guys with multiple tinder accounts operate.
Good call Balkan.
I've seen a funny profile bio 'splain recently, fits this forum's anxiety exactly:
"I'm happy with my job and set up in my life ... "
I stop reading when the "but" comes right along ...
[but I actually thought I'd be happier with some stupid degree and career than getting married or finding a good mate when I was in my 20s]
LOL
It's so sad, dude. A lot of these idiots were led astray, just an infected culture, unreal

Have any of you been solicited by hookers on Tinder? Happened to me recently. I matched with a really hot 8.5 mid twenties blonde. The profile seemed real- not the typical bot pics and copy. After an opening exchange she said that she was visiting for the weekend nearby, mentioning a local nightclub, and said her company was available for compensation. I didn't respond and she unmatched me within a few hours. Pretty sure she was real.
Another data point. About three years ago I met a chick through a dating site and we got together for a drink. Although she was quite bangable, she gave off strong crazy/BPD vibes and I didn't go for a second meeting. But she has continued to text me occasionally, sometimes to regale me with stories of her latest boyfriend or local gossip, or her claim to be sugarbaby for a local businessman, or to send me nudes and descriptions and pics of her masturbation sessions.
I had not heard from her for months until recently. She texted to say she had lost her job (again), and did I want to meet up because she is now "hustling men for money." I asked her what she meant and she made plain she is now in the sexual entertainment business. I gave her a flat no thanks but she kept texting me to brag about all the easy money she is making, including a pic of her with a wad of $100 bills. I asked how she was meeting her customers and to my surprise she said she meets them all through Tinder. She just swipes on a lot of guys and at some point in the conversation asks if they want to be her sugardaddy. If they say yes she proposes a quid pro quo.
I have also noticed a fair number of under 25 girls with profiles saying that they are open to meeting a sugardaddy. Seems like a good opportunity to play SA game on Tinder.
^^
MrXY, your post reminded me of a Tinder match I posted about a while back..
Quote:One morning I'm waiting to get into an auction/estate sale. I'm a bit of a watch nut, and this auction advertised a LOT of watches. Rolexes, Tag Heuers, Movados, etc. It's 'first come, first serve'. Doors open at 9:00, the number system is in effect. I'm the eighth person.
While I'm waiting, my phone pings that I have a Tinder match. 21, about 30 miles away, about a 5 or 6. We start chatting and move to text. The conversation has plenty of sexual overtones, and I find out she's looking for a sugar daddy. She needs a purse, bracelets, a $200 make up kit... and a watch. Gucci, Kors, something along those lines.
I'm not into the sugar daddy thing, but I'm bored waiting in the auction line. And what the heck, if I can find a watch. I figure I'll have some fun while I wait.
Me: "I'll pick you out a nice watch, and what do I get in return ?"
Her: "You pick me up a watch like I want, and I'll blow your mind and your dick."
Got in the door to the estate sale, found a Submariner style Invicta for myself for $40. And I spot a "worn once or twice" Kors, still looked brand new, with the box... for $20. Heck, I'm gonna spend that $20 anyway for a couple of drinks on a 'date'.
Ok. Let's see if this girl is full of it or not. I snap a pic of the watch in the box and send it. She loves it, says I picked well, and texts me her address. Met her an hour later in her dorm room, showed her the watch (she didn't even bother to see if it was real or fake lol), and got some of the best head and tightest v I ever had. Spanking, hair pulling, burying her face in the mattress, this chick was lovin' it all. And loved the nut butter on her skin. Stayed for about five hours, multiple times that day.
All that for a watch... that only cost me $20.
Yeah, I've matched with a few of these type of girls. I'm not sure about your area, but most of them that I'm seeing are 5's and below. Ham beasts that are looking for someone to spoil them. I usually report the porkers for 'inappropriate photos'.
Save for this situation (if someone wanted to split hairs) I'm not a p4p guy, this was during my divorce/dry spell.

I see that all the time, usually black but not always. They'll either mention sugar, or the profile will say something like "It's my birthday tomorrow! Buy me presents!". Or it's just some 22 year old chick with pix of her with a bunch of shopping bags. I'm almost 50. You know what's up when one of those matches you.
The local paper had an
article on sugar babying this week. It's gay as fuck, acting like these poor girls are being forced into pseudo-prostitution so they can "afford tuition". But it's a data point.

For the guys average looking and below average looking:
What are you doing to stand out on Tinder? It's seem like its too much work to get success on this app as an average looking guy. At least back in the day you could use OKCupid and create a funny bio to stand out and send out funny messages to get her attention. On Tinder, none of that applies. What are your strategies? What kind of pictures are you using to get attention from girls?

Define average looking?
Are we also talking about an average body (don't lift weights, no Abs showing...just skinny fat?)

I feel your pain. Online, especially OKC, has taken a hit. However, I still think we should be optimistic as guys are spitting terrible game. If you want to see for yourself, make a fake OKC profile (decently attractive girl) and check out the messages you get bombarded with. Getting a girl to show up on the date seems to be the hardest part. Probably not what you want to hear but don't be average. Tinder is 99% pictures. Any guy, barring physical deformity and extreme cases, can become above average or very close to above average with a unique "look". Get professional photos taken. If you don't have the money, get a friend to take ~100 pictures of you in different environments. Suit up when it's appropriate and choose 2-3 pictures you like.
Look at BlurredSevens thread here-it really is gold.
Sounds homo but my friend did this to me and I have a modelesque photo that has convinced some girls enough that they accuse me of being a male catfish. I'm not photogenic so it took a lot of pictures to get there. My best picture was me suited up with a pocket square, only showing my waist up, not smiling, not staring into the camera (slight profile is good to accentuate jawline) , and even though it was very contrived, it appears that I'm organically caught in the moment staring into the distance. Having a travel photo/nature photo at a cool destination is helpful as it checks that box every girl seems to have and gives you conversational material for the autistic girls.
Also, work on your "look"/style . Giovonny has a lot of posts that touch on that. You don't have to be the most attractive dude when you've cultivated a look certain girls like. For example, I'm a clean cut white dude with flashes of bohemian style. I experiment and subtly change things up to maximize my appeal to the poverty latinas

Recently, I have taken a combative approach to my Tinder bio. It reads like this:
Quote:For as picky as some of you are, the truth is that most of you have nothing to offer a man but your depreciating looks and your Vagina
I've never met a man I'd rather be, and if that's a delusion, it's a lucky one - Charles Bukowski
SERBIA>BOSNIA>GERMANY>U.S.
-speak 3 languages-
-former boxer/mma-
I have gotten matches with girls messaging me first, trying to qualify themselves as having more to offer....and lots of messages from lower SMV girls LOL-ing at my bio, as if they're siding with me against all the other girls, it seems.
That just reads bitter to me, but keep us updated on how it works.
Frankly, I think you would do better to express something similar to this after a bit of chatting-- which, I admit, is not easy to get.

If you have abs, you aren't average on Tinder. I'm talking guys with average faces and don't have abs (but aren't fat either).

Surprisingly, this has gotten a lot of matches...some which I think would have never swiped right had I not wrote it. But I'm not feeling it...it's not a good starting point. I do restart Tinder every week tho, so it's just another test.

All the dudes who are foraging in the forests of Tinder use these words as some advice.
I was one of the early folks on Tinder. I was on it way back when it was a sea of matches every day.
I recetnly deleted the app two months ago and I forgot about it and have no desire to go back.
There is a new opportunity out there. Since so many men have fallen prey to Tinder's false promises. Very few men are approaching in real life. I am finding it much easier now to just strike up normal conversations with girls that lead to numbers in real life then before. My theory is that men are not approaching women that much any more if at all. Women have insulted themselves in that bubble for sure but many will say it is rare for them for a man to grab his balls and just approach (Aside from dudes with robotic PUA game that women can sniff out now).
So like I said in the thread many times. You gotta take it back to the streets. That is where men have power.
You can keep shining your wheels on Tinder and weed out bots, spam, hookers, trannys, or you can just go approach a girl today, some place, and just chat her up.
If it leads no place who cares. I am treating the real world like Tinder. I assume 90% of these girls will flop but it is much easier to get the number in person and move on from there in real life.
It's logistics. Not all of us can life the PUA lifestyle of being out there where large quantities of women are out and about. Even with starbucks/coffee shops, I blew too much of my money and I'd rather be drinking home made Folgers coffee to begin with, then go in there on the daily in the hopes that some girl is by herself reading a book.
With work and gym taking up my time Monday to at least Thursday, I spend those days trying to set something up through online dating. Chat with a girl on a monday, meet her up on Tuesday or Wednesday...usually during work or while I'm lifting.

Tinder Top Tipp: put the "search distance" to the lowest setting and all the girls that come up will be matches
Man I cant get shit recently, anyone have experience with very small towns?
