Nah I would have to ask them. The only thing that I remember is my cousin bringing back a 6 pack of Trinidadian Cola and mixing it with vodka and we were all drinking it on New Years. It was pretty good. Big Grin

Speaking of Trinidad, what are some Black Bacchanalia events

- Caribana in Toronto
- Carnival throughout the Caribbean
- Carnival in Bahia

Closer to home
- Taste of Chicago
- NBA All Star Weekend
- Afropunk*
- Essence Fest
- Montreal Jazz Fest
- Various HBCU homecomings

*the only one I might go to?

Is there a black/african version of Burning Man?

I might attend Afropunk in Paris on June 3th and I would like to attend the one in New York this summer as well.

I have never been, but my good friend is from there.

The local girls tend to favour white guys that visit, however there are tons of European white girls that go down looking for action.

There is also a expression called carnival baby, which is a term used to describe all the women that get knocked up during carnival and have babies 9 months later. My cousin went a few years back, he said the "slackness" was on the next level.
He saw girls passed out on the ground and random dudes having sex with them.

As for Caribana, it has now been sponsored by Scotiabank and has gone corporate. They now call it the Scotiabank Toronto Caribbean festival and they charge cover to see the floats at the beginning of the parade.
Last year the police ended the festivites at 10.00 pm at night and told the people to leave.
I have stopped attending it for many years now, I will say there are some good parties to attend during that weekend. They tend to be really expensive, Lebron, Drake and other celebrities host these parties.

I have also been to the carnival in London, otherwise known as Notting Hill carnival which is held in august every year. It's not bad, I would say it would be good to attend if you are planning a trip to London during that time.

My cousins in Barbados keep telling me to come down for Crop Over, which is also held in august. I generally don't like the crowds, but having a place to stay is a big draw for me and I hope to reach there sooner than later.

The carnival in Brazil is on my bucket list and has been for most of my life.
I would be very keen to check out the carnival in Bahia Salvador, which I understand is better than the one held in Rio.

I went to afropunk last year. lots of cute slim natural girls that take care of themselves. I was with friends who are more modest in their pursuits for women, so I felt weird about ditching them to go girl hunting. I did end up chatting with an interesting slightly older woman for a long time. didn't go farther than a number. Also lived two hours away at the time so I didn't see the purpose in chatting girls up. This year I'm barely 30 minutes away. Thanks for reminding me!

Anybody have a guide/advice on social event game? It's still weird to me when I'm talking to a girl while the girl I just spoke to 5 seconds ago sees me lol. I'm guessing I should just focus on numbers and groups and peace out.

Why not just go to the original Burning Man? Also on my list.

My issue with Afro-Punk is that it's too "Black Power" and is populated by pretentious, degenerate hipsters sporting inferiority complexes masked as pride. One of my friends from HS is in that scene and while I visited her in NYC, hanging out with her friends was torture.

I tend to like real people ... not a bunch of faggots playing dressup.

Like anything North American, Caribana is heavily commercialized. So are Burning Man, Coachella and Afro-Punk. People go there to snap pics and show their friends they are part of the in-crowd. Nobody has fun and everybody is trying to one-up each other with either their costumes or some tribal hairstyle.

The reason the Trinidad Carnival spiked my interest is because it looks non-commercialized and the people seem really happy. Hot girls and cool guys getting drunk, dancing, soaking in some sweet Vitamin D and not giving a fuck. I also happen to have a thing for mixed black/Indian ( think Nicki Minaj) girls who're in ample supply in Trinidad & Guyana. The Jamaican carnival has too many rudeboys and crazy passa passa girls for my taste. Rio is too big. The one in Salvador de Bahia might be worth looking into though.

I know what you mean. I still enjoyed it though. i did bring my own friends. next time i'll make more of an effort to chat with all the chocolate candy.

Fortis,

have you ever attended a Puerto Rican or Dominican parade/carnival in NYC? Is it very insular or could outsiders cash in on some Afro-Latina pussy with intermediate Spanish? I have a very Dominican look as well.

Every brother in NYC comes out for that.

I'd avoid that actually.

Change your way of thinking.

Instead of girl hunting, you're bringing women back to your group. More girls for the girls to vibe with, and more girls for the guys to hit on.

Win/Win situation.

After party!
Get the bang at the festival.

You see a chick you just saw 30 minutes ago.

WIA - "I see you over there making trouble" and then keep it moving (K.I.M.)

Festival
- drive up
- find parking
- walk to the front
- get inside
- get situated
- grab some libations or refreshments
- people watch, take in the music
- round 2 of libations, possibly some food
- circulate, see the vendors
- More music, round 3 of libations
- the final act
- get ready to bounce

Now if you're young, you probably still have energy after a day in the sun.
So what you want to do as you circulate, see vendors, stand in line for the pisser, stand in line for food and drinks, is to chat people up and see what they're doing afterwards.

If you've got some good logistics, the real move is to have something for folks to come through afterwards.

It's possible to smang a chick in the porta-potty. What's more realistic is you get there @ 11, meet her at 2, let her circulate, let all the girls you meet circulate, and then blast a text @ 5/6 to let them know the after party is going down @....

If you've got one partner that can run some game, and you find yourselves a nice two set - you can spend the day with them - and ideally spend the night.

Burning Man does not feature the thousands of tipsy, dancing black and brown women. And it will never feature that.

appreciate the advice, man. i actually just heard your podcast recently.

"Burning Man does not feature the thousands of tipsy, dancing black and brown women. And it will never feature that."

If that's what you're looking for then I can understand.

I'd like to do an afterparty but I don't have a spot conducive to that. i'll just have to make a good impression or something.

There's SoulFest in Sydney, Australia. This past October I traveled all the way there for it, only for it to be canceled. There was an event thrown by some of the local artists who where supposed to perform. There were some pretty sexy Pacific island girls there.

On the plus side, I went to the Filipino day parade and had a great time. Def going again this year. No Af-am men in sight.

A new friend I made told me I should come next year with a Filipino flag shirt for extra effect.

Archie beat me to it. You might do ok because you're exotic, but there are so many black/hispanic dudes there that you're a drop in the bucket if you're that mix (like me). I might go just to have fun, but the game there would be a lot harder than going to another ethnicity festival (like a germany festival) and trying to swoop there.

I'd still try it out, but I wouldn't travel to NYC strictly for that.

Speaking of which, there are a few players here who live in NYC who could give you a better idea of city nightlife in NYC than I can.

That would be cheating. Scandinavia and Japan? Lol. The deck is so stacked in your favor.

That is assuming the current climate in Europe doesn't take a turn for the worst.

It's alright to cheat once in awhile.

I wouldn't worry about the climate in Europe.

There is always a market for well dressed and smooth talking black men like yourself. Smile

Blockfest in Finland is pretty good as well. Both the music and the easiness of swooping.

I'm curious ... how are you guys built?

It's literally expected of black guys to be big/jacked in North America and being skinny (despite being fit) for is often a death sentence. Coming from a guy who used to weigh 135 at 6'1. Weighing in at 200 lbs now, DEXA scan came back @ 16% bodyfat (although DEXA scans count visceral & brain, so more like 13%).

Word on the street is that Vinman can take down a Grizzly bear. Any stories going from skinny to jacked & changes in the reactions from women?

When I got bigger (160 lbs to 200 lbs), I noticed more of a difference in guys than women. I got a lot more respect from men than I did before. They never the slick shit that they used to try on me back in the day when I was skinny. People get really apologetic if they happen to be in my way. They even apologize when I bump into them. One way to tell your getting bigger is if you are sitting on a certain machine at the gym and some guy comes up to you and points at another machine to ask you if you are using it even though its clear you are using another machine.
Moma 路 2016-05-17 08:25:00 路 #2173
Ana, the response will be similar to whatever race you are. If you are black and go for black lizards, given that your game continues to be good, your knockdown rate will improve akin to a lizard who suddenly gets titz and arse. You will improve on the passive attraction towards sluts as you will broadcast more raw sexuality. If you target white lizards or other, some have said to maybe soften the look by smiling more. Others can chime in on the interracial attraction...
Fortis 路 2016-05-17 08:40:00 路 #2174
I'm 5'8 and 145-55 depending on how much I'm eating. iIm making the push to get bigger because why the fuck not? Honestly, in Asia being bigger is better. Guys will talk endlessly about how girls don't like it here, but I get more arm grabs and other things in asia than I did at home.

Big muscular black guys are a dime a dozen in NJ, but being big and jacked won't hurt your chances at all. I wouldn't get TOO obsessed with it, though, because guys who take it too far are only a step away from "you need to have brad pitt's face to get laid!"

Why do I say that? I've known too many black and latin players who were fat, short, balding, ugly and antisocial who had women fighting over them tooth and nail for a piece of the dick. One dormmate I had in college was a balding 5'5 dominican guy who had no problems getting laid despite being pudgy and not at all genetically blessed.
