We'll see what happens to these twelve people who the Pope transported across international borders: Bergoglio said the Vatican will pay for all expenses necessary to relocate them in Germany or France (anywhere but not in the Vatican ).

He's also desperately trying to justify his (strange, to say the least) refusal of taking Christian refugees, by saying: "I would have taken Christian refugees too, but no Christian family was ready at the time"... yeah, sure, Christian refugees took a few minutes more to pack their luggage than Muslim families did, so he took only Muslim families!

I also think that Bergoglio is just realizing what he did, and trying to back-pedal... he's saying now that he "perfectly understands the wrath and angst of European people" facing this migrant invasion...

Anyway, I think he made the biggest error in his career when choosing only Muslim families to "save", and letting the Christian ones to hang... we'll see how this registers with average Catholic Christians in Europe. Being abandoned by their own "pope".

Why should we need to get the police geared up when we already have a perfectly good fighting force trained for the matter in the first place? What the hell is an army useful for if not to keep the peace over large numbers of people? Oh thats right, the army is used as the hammer to hit those states we don't like.

If you go to London you will notice a large number of police with guns at public transport hubs, government buildings and sniffer dogs plus plain-clothed officers mingling around in the crowd. Civilians lose their mind because your only recourse to a cop making a mistake is to sue. If the officer doesn't know/care about that then as a civilian you are powerless.

Moreover, deploying the military to keep the streets safe would almost certainly result in less crime, as they defend the persecuted migrants. Orders come from above, and almost nobody thinks the crisis is serious. It would also be seen as totally out of proportion.

I mean in the long term economically. Though with this massive influx the scales change since there are more migrants than gypsies now surely.

I've seen how riot cops and heavily armed police respond when shit gets real, they do not have the training to keep a lid on it without overwhelming force.

Look at how quickly the violence spirals when the immigrants fight back, but the police are just in the first stages of response and they need armed and ready backup which takes time to bring in. Meanwhile immigrants and natives tear into each other and local businesses causing millions in damage and lost trade.

I'm not talking tanks here but a semblance of "fuck around at your own risk" is a pretty good deterrent when it comes to bad people doing bad things.

You cannot react quick enough with the police and its all too late by then. No terrorist act in France was prevented by police because it was all over. The same goes for Berlin, the UK and the US.

At some point you're going to need active heaily armed military foot patrols in trouble hotspots.
