RE: So What Is The Best Argument For Eating Meat?
Misinformation is rampant in this thread.

I'm a massive meat eater - but I know not eating meat is better for you - in every single way possible; there's no argument against it. Only reason I still eat meat is because I can't not eat hamburgers haha.

Every argument for eating meat is purely anecdotal and based on rhetoric. "You're not a man if you don't eat meat" give me a break.

RE: So What Is The Best Argument For Eating Meat?
We are not designed to eat meat, that is why it stays in our system for weeks.

Other animals can break it down alot quicker than us and pass it through their system.

I have heard also we "shouldn't" eat things that contain blood.

If you look at how our food is made, then you can see alot of it is bogus.

my 0.02 cents.

I don't want to get into a big debate about meat, I know there are alot of meat eaters on here.

I will say I tried the Vegan lifestyle and it changed my system big time, I know other Vegans and they look healthier than meat eaters.

When I said "our food", I mean the meat we get from the supermarket. A lot of it is garbage which they put together and sell us, for example hot dogs etc.

RE: So What Is The Best Argument For Eating Meat?
I was on vacation recently, and tried a Vegan week after seeing a couple of videos about it. For me it was all about trying to possibly reduce my grocery bill, and not for ethical reason and such. It went really well... I lost 3 Lbs while keeping my total calories the same: more proteins thanks to the beans, while slightly decreasing my carbs.

With that said, you'd think all went great... but there was a "Big" difference downstairs if you know what I mean. While erect, I was able to bend it in half while checking out R18.com ( Goddamn I love Japanese porn damn Smile And I also Banged that week, and while being passable, it was far from my usual form. Got back on chicken breast... and I was back to my old self again... absolutely can't bend it anymore... and that's the only reason I'll never go vegan

I absolutely do not regret this vegan tryout tough! It made me greatly reduce my meat consumption. I've reduce my consumption from 3kg to 1kg of chicken breast a week, and my digestion is way better. While some vegans are cou cou in the head (Vegan Gains & Durianrider) they do eat nicely. For me adding a little bit of eggs and chicken breast is the best of both worlds. Just a tad of non fatty meat for the IGF1 benefit is what I recommend on this.

I don't think it's fair to compare vegans who care about what they eat with meat eaters who don't. Anyone who eats with some degree of self-awareness will be healthier than the one who doesn't.

A simple fact is that there are healthy vegetarians/vegans, and there are healthy meat eaters, so the argument for and against the health benefits is null. Especially when you use hotdogs as your example of meat.

I was a vegetarian for two years for spiritual reasons. I was healthy and unhealthy during different periods of that time, depending on how much attention I paid to my diet. What I will say, is if you want equal nutrition to meat eaters, you have to spend almost as much (this was in Britain, your mileage may vary). Fats are so essential, and so easily overlooked. Nuts make the nutrition thing so much simpler, I would advise any vegetarian to make nuts a cornerstone of their diet.

I do get some doubts from time to time. For example why I buy chicken for few bucks a kg and eat it but I pet the cat on my lap. Why not just eat the cat also? But I justify eating of others flesh with that its only energy and nothing more really. Its the same thing as any other source of energy and therefore I need it and can eat it.

Have really reduced my meat intake over the last year.

One major change Ive noticed: I now spring out of bed, well before my alarm. I go from deep sleep to fully awake.

Prior to this change, it was hitting the snooze button multiple times and leaving my apartment half asleep going straight for a coffee.

I just say, "because I want to, and it's what we've always done". That's an answer that satisfies me. I grew up rurally, and frequently ate animals that had names, so I'm completely desensitized to the ethical aspect. I simply don't care.

RE: So What Is The Best Argument For Eating Meat?
I think in this day and age of communications and normally easily available imports and/or "global" culture we easily forget the reasons why our ancestors ate what they ate and why many things from the past oculd be ocnsidered no longer useful,or rather, more useful than ever as times continueto change and we theoretically continue to adapt (although the birth falls in the west do puncture that idea).

Imagine yourself in a german winter back when you wouldnt be able to just ride your bike or drive overto to the supermarket and get your good ocmbo of nuts tomatoes and ,erh, cream and noodles.

SOmetimes you got lucky and hunted something big,and you made damn sure you d maximize the intake and or duration of that hunt (which is why many predators just gorge and don t have a very developed idea of when to stop)

Even in a civilized situation, say you slay one of your livestock, you sure as hell want to maximize its output since raising it implied a cost
So you get this crazy awesome ideas of using the innards as wrappers for the other meat and getting it dry so you have accesible food when the weather is not allowing.

Some historical research does help a lot before jumping on dietary demonizing bandwagons

We move between light and shadow, mutually influencing and being influenced through shades of gray...

RE: So What Is The Best Argument For Eating Meat?
Humans NEED meat.

Why? Meat, in an un-supplemented world, provides the body with creatine which is an essential component for enhancing brain processing.

Creatine is available in trace amounts in vegetables. However even with a fully vegetarian or vegan diet you will not get enough creatine from vegetables and fruits alone.

The body has the ability to create creatine from amino acids, however it will only do this when it's lacking creatine. Outside sources are far superior.

TL;DR eating meat makes you smarter unless you decide to cheat with supplements.

I don't care what you eat.
But Vegans are some of the most smug, condescending people out there.
Quoting Ice-T, I don't care if you eat sawdust motherfucker, don't tell ME how I should be eating.

I'm pretty sure there are some studies out there on the effect of vegan vs normal nutrition and physical development of children (height etc). I'd go as far as to say giving a child a vegan diet constitutes child abuse. No moral human being would ever impede the intake of protein in their child, especially male children. No Vegan could ever raise a child to eat meat since after they get so high on the moral high horse about it, so I would presume any vegan parents to be child abusers.

Vegan since three months here. Have lost body fat while making gains. Only supplements I am taking are vitamin B12 and a protein blend from vegan sources. Feeling a lot healthier, too.

My question to everyone that is still eating meat:

Would you kill or torture a living being if you didn't have to? If I could only survive or live healthy by eating meat, I'd sure do it, but since it's not like that, why would I?
